EDIT: I wanted to be all dramatic and shiz with this post but I felt like adding this right now. Today, also at the office, a lady came in. She looked exactly like Bellatrix in Order of the Phoenix movie, complete with the hair and the weird clothes. This lady had big lips and a slur to her words whenever she spoke. So her card wasn't working but it worked on our machines and I directed her over to my manager so SHE could decide whether we could just replace her card or not. When the lady left, my manager said that she was really put off because the lady was drunk off her ass and I went "???"

Then both my co-worker and my manager looked at me like o_O "Didn't you SMELL it from her?" and I went "...No. Most of our patrons smell of SOMETHING, I guess I don't know what drunk people smell like." They promptly looked at each other and turned back to me going, "Oh Eunice, you're so innocent."

A man came in with his entire family, who apparently just got off the plane from Hong Kong two days ago (whoo hoo I got to demonstrate my shitty Cantonese skills) and um his mom was totally fawning all over him like "should we brush your hair? push your glasses higher? fix your shirt? Aiyah!" It was cute coming from the mom because I could tell she was one of those nice, polite 'aunties' and she was all smiles and stuff. Her son, on the other hand, looked totally lost and had no clue what he was doing.

I asked whether he was here for his masters since he had a letter from graduate studies building and his mom said he was here to do his phD
