Campaign, once again

October/November has always been death months ever since I entered this university and joined the Executive Committee of the Dental Society, HKUSU. So many big events are crammed in these 2 months, and there's so much stuff to prepare!

The campaign for the proposed Executive Committee was held on Saturday, and it ended up being 33 hours or so. Thus I got home at 2am last night. Throughout that 33 hour, I slept for what seemed like 20 minutes so I decided to skive Tutorial 1 today (LOL). I also felt really weird...remembering how last year I was sitting on that table on stage being commented by my seniors and now I'm the one doing the commenting. It actually really hurts when I give negative comments as I am such an empathetic person but I couldn't stop myself from saying it since it was neccessary (I can't believe they didn't listen to what I said earlier - hence coming up with the wildest concepts!). I hope everything will be all right for them soon <3 I cried at the very end along with them :(

Anyway...throughout that long long campaign I had to find something to do to keep myself awake.

Sorry for disappearing just like that T___T; University life is seriously more demanding than I imagined!
There's so much stuff I want to post here in this journal...everything that has happened so far in my offline life <3
But then this may not be the most appropriate time as I am catching up with Tatta Hitotsu no Koi (ZOMG KAME WHY ARE YOU SO FRIGGIN CUTEEEE EVEN WHEN YOU'RE ACTING MEAN D: <33333333) and busy ranting about how stupid the plot for Yukan Club (BUT JIN IS TOO ADOREABLE THERE'S NOTHING MUCH TO RANT ABOUT FOR JIN EXCEPT THE FACT THAT HE DESERVES A BETTER DORAMA) is.

Nevertheless,
I WILL BE BACK.

Sorry this isn't going to be as good as my KAT-TUN one due to reasons such as a) I had a supid JE staff right behind me so I couldn't take pics and b) I didn't know some of the songs as I am a loser who didn't listen to ARASHIC before I went to the con.

This report was typed up by Steph (aka. Stefuu, Steffu or Stephnii etc.) Please do not distribute or use any of MY stuff without permission because I will hunt you down if you do so. This is not because I’m a selfish person and I don’t want you to spread the ARASHI love. It is because a) I actually bothered to use up my time to type this up, b) and I actually did pay a price (reasonable this time lol) to get in.

How I got my ticket
I actually gave up watching the Arashi con when I planned my trip to Japan cause I didn't know if I was allowed to go all the way to Yokohama. Kerrie's asked me a month ago before the con since she and her friends wanted to watch a concert...I wasn't planning to go until my last week of school when Kerrie said that there were original price tickets for sale on Y!Auctions but it comes in a package of 4 (you have to buy all 4 tickets). So I asked my parents and they were quite pissed off that I was discussing this with them so urgently as we were flying to Japan the next day. Nevertheless they agreed so I told Kerrie to go bid and I'd pay her back. The problem was that in order to bid, we needed to get J-friends to help us and they charged us HKD->YEN = x10 (i.e. 100yen = 10HKD) Good thing was, this time we're only bidding for the CODE to get our tickets from a convenient shop in Japan so we pay only pay the seller a little.

The biggest problem came when I couldn't find an ampm convenient store in Hokkaido. Super stressful day that was. We went through all this trouble and in the end my dad had to ask an old friend of his to go get it for us. Poor 80year old man rushing down to ampm to get 4 Arashi concert tickets *feels guilty*. But that man was so nice...he was like "Is it Arashi tickets you want? I don't even know who they are *laughs*" So yes, in the end we got the tickets! Thanks to Kerrie, her friends and my dad's old friend <3

Pre-concert stuff
In the morning before heading off to Shin-Yokohama, I was busy shopping at Harajuku and Shibuya, buying lots and lots and lots - but that's another story (read this post for details). I was supposed to meet Kerrie and her friends at Shin-Yokohama Station, north exit at 3.00pm because we decided beforehand that we needed time to buy con goods. Since I took the Shinkansen, I arrived at around 3 quite easily. I stood at Shin-Yokohama station for around an hour before I got Kerrie's phone call saying that she just arrived. I was so scared that they got lost or forgot to come LOL. Kerrie and her friends didn't have a cell phone so the only was was them to contact me. I didn't know what they look like too which was a big problem LOL. So after we met we walked down to Yokohama Arena. Since I've already been there before I took the lead - been there twice infact, once was during KAT-TUN's LooKing Concert on August 28th (or was it 27th? lol) cause I wanted to go watch it but the tickets selling at the door were way above my budget and the second time was this year March cause I stayed at Shin-Yokohama and I had nothing better to do so I walked all the way to the arena so waste time rofl. Anyway. On our way, we saw quite a lot of people with signs saying "SELL ME TICKETS" cause they couldn't get tickets. Compared to the KAT-TUN concert last year, there was less people holding these signs. There were also those unofficial goods stores.

Yokohama Arena is a huge venue. We walked around trying to find where the con goods were selling but we had no luck since there were so many people hanging around. We passed the place where they normally sell con goods but we didn't see it there (too early? or we're we just blind?). We followed the signs and went to an enterance. We followed the other people and queued for what seemed like half an hour but when we got to the door the staff told us we were at the wrong place so we walked all the way back down to the where the con goods stall spot was and amazingly enough we saw the stall there with a massive queue. But since it was close to the starting time already, we decided that con goods can come later so we kept asking the staff where we were supposed to go (we totally went round in circles since the staff's english is just too good to comprehend). in the end we ended up at the back entrance since we had super cheap tickets (the standing ones). There were signs saying A/B/C block in the carpark and since we were B, we stood in the B area. Then the staff told us to line up in order according to the number on our ticket. So basically how this system works is depending on your ticket number, you're the Xth to get into the concert hall and choose a standing spot in the designated area. I'm the 107th? LOL.

Nevertheless, we had a really good standing spot. It's not up in the hill top so it was ok. It was actually around 20 rows from the moving glass stage close to the back - so my view was around the same as my KAT-TUN Real Face Concert seat but a bit more further away and not so centre view, more like side view @@; And because I was stupid enough to not bring my JE penlight I got last time...I ended up waving my small Arashi uchiwa I bought from the JE Shop in Harajuku that morning. Poor Kerrie and her friends had nothing x-X;

Let the concert begin!
The concert started at 18:00 exact I think? The hall went dark and the first song was..............KITTO DAIJOUBU! I was very happy since I love this ghei song. They were wearing pretty patterned pink suits and there were cute ranbow pics over the screens behind them it was sooooo adorably cute XD; Just like the PV. We kept squeeling because it was so cute! And everyone in the hall knew the dance *feels left out*.

(I WILL POST THE SET LIST AND COMMENT ON EACH SONG HERE...WHEN I FIND IT)

They sang some medleys...with the old songs I actually know how to sing and dance to LMAO. For example ハダシの未来! And for 'a Day in Our Life' Sho sang one line and we do the "NEEE", "UEEE", "EEEE" and "SOMEDAY!" XD; <333 Was fun. They also sang 言葉より大切なもの and showed the PV too! I love that song...STAND UP!! rofl.

The MC is seriously super funny. Maybe because I understood it more than the KAT-TUN and w-inds. one I watched XD; Thanks to Kerrie's friend who stood beside me and translated some stuff for me! <333 So they had this MC section where a question shows up on the TV screens and they have to take turns to answer them. One of the questions was something like "what would you do when you're on a date and you bump into a JE senpai in the streets?" (my japanese sucks so correct me if I'm wrong) and Sho replied "*points to girl* haha desu!" (haha=mother). But my favorite question was "What would you do when you wake up the next morning and realised that you've turned into a girl?". When I saw the question I was like "omg i bet they're going to go check out their new sexy body XD;". Amazingly enough, all of them started feeling their non-existant boobs except for Sho (?) who looked further down LMAO. They also talked about their recent releases, ie.movies, dramas....and Nino was like "Steven Speilburg's so tall!" *DIES LAUGHING* Poor little Nino. And they were saying that Jun wasn't as tall as what Domyouji is supposed to be which is true LMAO.

Ohmiya SK did their little Bazooka thing again XDD <333 Gosh they're so adorable.

And there was this bit when they wore these tracksuits with ARASHI on them OMG sooo cute XD; They all had a different color each. And throughout the concert I can not help ranting about how ugly MatsuJun looks with his brand new extensions. I also can't help noticing how low his shirt goes all the time *o*; :LMAOOO. Sho was pretty hot at the concert XD; And I love Ohmiya SK! HAHA. Sorry to Aiba but he never really catches my attention *gets murdered by Jing*. Oh and there was this time when MATSUJUN KISSED THE CAMERA. YES, HE KISSED THE CAMERAAAAAAAA *runs around madly*. Omg if JIN DID THAT. I'D BE RIGHT ON THE FLOOR BECAUSE EVEN JUN (and I'm not a fan of Jun)'S KISS MADE ME GO WHOAAA. It was pretty hot LOL.

The last song was 'WISH'. My favorite song from this new album. It was soooo adorable! They played the PV behind them again.

Then it was time to shout..."ARASHI! ARASHI! ARASHI!" - Arashi fans are lazy so they don't call out the indivdual names? XD; Yeah so they came out and sang "A.RA.SHI"!!!! I WAS LIKE WHOOAAA YEAHHH >D; And like traditionally, the fans sang the last verse (the slow bit). It was so cool. They also sang a few other songs...shall update when I get the set list T-T;

We had a TRIPLE ENCORE <3333 super awesome.

So after the concert we ran to the concert goods stall that was inside the hall (there's one outside for those who arn't watching the concert). I bought a file and a pamphlet. The pamphlet pics are awesome...really good photographer compared to the one that did KAT-TUN's one T-T;

KAT-TUN Spring Tour ’06 “Real Face” – 2006.04.09 (17:00) at 福岡マアリンメセ (Fukuoka Marine Messe) - PART 2

It is because a) I spent AGES typing this thing up and I put a lot of effort in it, b) I risked being kicked out of the concert to take some of these photos and c) I f*cking spent 20000yen to buy my way in (omg I get quite depressed when I think of the price lol).

BLUE TUESDAY: They all stood on a rising platform each (the 6 platforms). Those platforms were raised to almost 1 floor high. Those are shown in pale green in my first stage plan diagram (lol). This song was really pretty.

Ueda’s Solo: Daisuke of FIVE was playing the ‘Love in Snow’ (Ueda’s Solo in Kaizokuban 2004) and the main screen was showing the lyrics of the song with a really pretty background (lol). We all sang along to ‘Love in Snow’ and then afterwards Ueda came out on stage with a microphone stand and a guitar (? – I wrote down guitar on my report plan that was written the day after the concert but now I’m not very sure after watching the fan cam of this. Maybe the Fukuoka concert was different from the Osaka one). Anyway, he said “thank you” and from the TV screen close-ups I can see that he looked quite touched. Then he started singing his solo which is sort of soft rock. It was really kakoii ne~ After watching this solo, I strongly believe that Ueda can pass as a J-rocker if he wanted to (lol).

This screencap is from the fancam of the Osaka concert. UEDA’S HAIR WAS DIFFERENT IN THE FUKUOKA CONCERT. He had a side parting fringe instead of this no parting one (lol).

Maru’s Solo: Maru came out wearing a white suite and a white hat. He did some super beat-boxing for a while and it was awesome. It’s one of the best beat-boxing I’ve heard from Maru (lol).

Then the FIVE drummer who was supposed to join in at that time was reading a newspaper on the steps on the main stage. Maru then made this angry face at him whilst still beat-boxing and the drummer ran to the drum set and joined in (lol). It was really cute. Suddenly there was this raining sound and it was the signal for the beginning of the real solo. They used the laser lights to make the raining effect and the TV screens were showing rain (lol). It was pretty cool. Kame and Junno was back-dancing for this solo. They were wearing what they wore for ‘FIGHT ALL NIGHT’ in Kaizokuban 2004 (lol). Then the other back-dancers passed them all a black umbrella and they were dancing using that.

In the dark the umbrellas can light up like this:

So when they stood in a line, it was super pretty. And in the dark the kept swapping umbrellas so when we thought it was Maru under his umbrella (which lighted up in a different colour), when they turned on the lights it was someone else – let’s say, Kame! (lol). It was pretty cool ne. Overall, it was a really nice solo. Maru’s voice is really growing on me.

Jin’s solo: The ‘Pinky’ intro started playing and because I heard the song before I watched the concert I screamed “JIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN~ <3” along with all the Jin fan girls (lol). He was all the way up on the moving platform near the main stage (the moving transparent platform was parked beside the main stage). I was really disappointed that everything was so far away from me. Nevertheless, the dancing was really sexy, just like normal Jin dances no? (lol). I like the bit when they all fall to the floor. It wasn’t as ero as the one in LooKing 2005 because he didn’t do “the move” – the one where he turns 360 degrees….just watch the LooKing Fancams if you don’t know what I’m going on about (lol). Anyway, as you may know, more than half of the song was in English so it was quite easy to sing along to. After what seems like the ‘end’ of the solo, smoke started to cover the stage and when Jin clicked his fingers the instrumental bit started playing again. Suddenly this mysterious sexy blonde chick started making her way towards him. Since I already knew it was Koki I burst out laughing immediately and the Koki fangirl behind me was like “KOKIIII~ <3” along with some others. Those who had no clue what was happening just looked blankly (lol). So yes, the “sexy blonde chick” was dirty dancing with the hot hot Jin-kun.

And as you can see there are some ‘parental guidance is recommended’ bits (lol). I was like “omgomgomgomg Jin’s so hot *tries not to pay attention to Koki kneeling there with his head right ‘there’*” (rofl).

During the dirty dancing bit, Jin was singing (but in the Osaka concert fan cam he wasn’t). After some really interesting dancing (lmao), Jin pulled of the wif revealing…..KOKI! And Koki made this stupid face and was really cute and Jin was finally allowed to laugh (lol). I really don’t know how he can keep that straight face throughout the performance. And I love the way how Jin whacks Koki’s head and goes “BAKA!” (rofl).

SPECIAL HAPPINESS: Straight after Jin’s solo, the ‘SPECIAL HAPPINESS’ introduction started playing. Kame and Junno appeared on 2 different platforms between the arena stands (refer to first stage plan diagram). These platforms were pushed by some of the staff (lmao). Kame was on the right and Junno was on the left. The fans around them were completely crazy – lucky them (lol). Overall, this is a very cute song when sung live. Ok extra cute live (lmao).

I LIKE IT: They all appeared wearing those red coats – same one as they wore for singing “I LIKE IT” in Kaizokuban 2004.
They were all standing on the stage that was in the middle of the arena with microphone stands in front of them.

During the bit where all the lights are off, the microphone stands light up like this (basically the used the same one as the ones in LooKing concert 2005):

As they were singing, everyone did the hand movements for this song (which is so repetitive it’s really easy lol)

Messenger: Due to my horrible memory. I cannot remember what they did during this song (cries).

Cosplay time: Jin comes out first and says something like “Kurosawa desu!” and then a load of stuff which I unfortunately do not understand. When he first appeared I was like “omg it’s Kurosawa-kun *faints*” Jin looks super super hot in suits. He was sitting some steps on the stage that goes all around the arena, but he was near the main stage, towards the right side, so I couldn’t see too clearly (had to watch the TV screen). He even had the Kurosawa bag (lol).

Junno then came out wearing tennis shirt and shorts and holding a tennis racket, obviously cosplaying his character in his drama SP ‘Happy!’. He then hits a tennis ball out into the audience and says something along the lines of “Happy no smash desu!” which was really cute because it made me squeal too (lol).

Maru was wearing his big brown suit which was so cute.
Ueda came out wearing a blonde wig and this black costume, and was kneeling on the floor saying “Gomenasai!” obviously just being the young him (lol).

Kame was the famous Shuji-kun of course. So cute. When he came out, he tied his hair up - the famous Shuji fountain hair! I realised a lot of people at the concert had their hair up like that too (lmao). Then Kame went “Nobuta” and we joined in for “Pawaa chuniu!” and everyone was doing the hand moves for that too! It was so cute.

Koki was the last one to come out. He came out as ‘Kameda Koki’ with the boxer shorts and all and the Kansai Jrs were behind him waving big flags with ‘Kameda Koki’ written in kanji on them (lol). Kame said something about the name ‘Kameda’ but I’m not sure what he said (rofl).

They all spread out in different areas of the stage that goes around the hall.

Original Blue: They paraded around the concert hall singing which was really cute. The route was like this:

All of them were waving at us when they passed, and we all waved madly back! (lol) It was really really cute. When Jin passed my stand I was like “crap, should I call out JIN or KUROSAWA-KUN?” (lmao) I think I called out both names in the end. They all went round once but since the started at different areas, some went round a bit more than once as they all finished off at the main stage. Hence, some like Koki passed my stand twice but Jin didn’t because he started off near the main stage so only passed once and I was a bit disappointed (cries). Jin was the first one to finish and he sort of ‘disappeared’ when the song finished – he had to go prepare for BUTTERFLY. Ueda also left with Jin after he finished his trip round the arena. Koki was the last one to finish and he kept walking so “buff-ly” like those WWF people (lmao).

Seishun Amigo: Since Jin and Ueda was busy preparing for BUTTERFLY, Kame, Junno, Maru and Koki was left on the stage to entertain us (lol). Kame decided to start singing Seishun Amigo whilst the others just watched behind him looking ignored (lmao). Koki looked really pissed – in a funny way (lol). We all sang a danced along with Kame! (Seishun Amigo is the only dance I actually remember well lol). Koki said something along the lines of “Hey! Shut up!” to Kame who kept going, and we were all laughing but we kept singing along with Kame. Then Koki repeated and the music stopped, Kame then stopped but we all kept going until we finished the chorus. By this time Koki looked stared at us looking very angry (lmao!). It was really funny and cute at the same time. Then Koki started complaining that we were helping Kame (lol).

MC: Then it was Maru and Koki’s super lame jokes time! Whenever they did this:
we also did it and said “DA!” too! (rofl). I don’t remember understanding any of the jokes at all but whenever they did something weird I laughed (lol). Whilst Maru and Koki were in their own world of lame jokes, Junno and Kame was bored so they started playing the thumb game from Real Face Film (lmao!) on the steps of the main stage. It was so funny. Kame looked super relaxed lying on the floor and Junno was sitting on the steps.

Maru and Koki turned to see them not paying attention to their jokes (rofl). Koki got fed up and shouted “What are you two doing?!” And I forgot if it was Junno or Kame who calmly replied “Playing the game from the DVD” (lmao).

Apart from that, Maru also did his little ‘evolution’ thing (lol). Well that’s my name for it because it reminds me of Pokemon evolving (lmao). Basically what happens is, he hids his legs using those big shorts and then after the music plays he stands up straight revealing the legs (lol). It’s really kawaii. There’s also a de-evolution version (lmao) which is basically the opposite.

Maru and Koki also did their “boxing fight” which was pretty cute too.

And they KEPT making that face (lol). They did it again during this MC section.

Junno was laughing so badly by now he was on the floor rolling from side to side laughing. His laugh was so funny that we all laughed really badly. Sometimes, Junno gets beaten up by Koki (lmao).

Seishun Amigo (cont.): They all started dancing and singing Seishun Amigo after the MC. Maru was super cute cause he was trying to do it in that big bulky suit. Obviously we also sang and danced along (rofl). I also noticed that Kame’s kicks this time was not very high (lol).

BUTTERFLY:This was one of the songs I was dying to hear. Jin appeared on the transparent moving stage at the front whilst Ueda was on the transparent moving stage in front of me.

Both of them were with guitars and a microphone stand. Ueda’s guitar was blue and Jin’s one was the super nice transparent one that I really want (lol).

Though the costume is quite caveman-like, Jin looks hot nonetheless.

The main TV screen was showing pretty butterfly patterns (lol).

The moving platforms then moved towards the centre of the arena.

I swear, Jin was definitely playing the guitar this time! Unlike care where he holds the pretty guitar more than actually playing it (lol). It was really hot. The Spanish bit was super sexy not to mention Jin’s “Listen up!” in the beginning (rofl). Not to mention his “what amazing butterfly” (faints).

Near the end of the song, Jin and Ueda swapped platforms and Jin’s platform started moving towards my stand! I was thinking “OMG YEEEESS!” (rofl)
