Does anyone know of a good Buffy video to Pink's "So What!"? I found one on YouTube that was pretty good, but the beat of that song has such potential for some really kickass clips to go with it. I'm hoping there's one or two floating around out there that haven't made the YouTube circuit yet - or that are already on there but I couldn't track down.

I hope this idea never gets off the ground. If it's an entire new cast of characters, it might be tolerable, but if they are just recasting our favorites - NO! And without Joss? He's the one who brought it all together when the first movie flopped. Here's the link for anyone who hasn't heard about it yet:

I wanted to thank everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday! I tried to respond to all posts, but I may have missed some (I hope not) and if I did, a very heartfelt thank you for the thought.

I hope everyone's new year has been fabulous! We were in the middle of the huge ice storm that hit the south, so we've been without power for days and without internet even longer. It just came back on today (the internet, the power was back on by Sunday - four days, total). Our yard looked like a tornado hit it we lost so many branches. I have pictures on my cell phone, so if I can get my husband to put them on my computer, I'll post them.

Other than that blip - and a big blip it was - I've been keeping busy. A friend of mine who just had a baby came up with the idea that we should all go on a cruise together (our husbands and us). Since our hubbies are best friends, that seemed like a good plan and since we're both trying to lose baby weight, we joined Weight Watchers. Seven pounds and counting so far and the diet is so easy to stick to! I've been very pleased with it (well, except for tonight - there will probably be a weight gain this week because of the birthday cake!). So I've got eight months to lose at least 30 more pounds. I won't say "no problem" and jinx myself, but I do think I can do it. I'm motivated for the cruise, I'm motivated to feel like my old self, and I'm motivated to fit into this gorgeous cocktail dress that my husband got me for my birthday (in the dress size I'm shooting for, so it will give me even more incentive to fit into it before we leave and I can wear it to dinner on the cruise).

Besides that - I have been writing again. Slowly but surely. I've added a few more pages to Daughter of Darkness. It's not a lot and not anywhere near the end, but I'm hoping to finish it. I've set a goal to finish it before summer, but I'm hoping for earlier than that. It's finding time here and there between a five year old and a two year old (and walking at least three times a week with my friend on this weight loss thing). The idea is to write out the entire story and post all of it. No chapter by chapter updates - the entire thing. I've made you all wait long enough for it and I would be fed up with me by now. Well, I am, because it's ridiculous how long this writing slump has lasted (if it can even be called a "slump" anymore) but if I was waiting for the next installment, I would be very angry by now so I appreciate all of your patience. It will be finished. And the next update will be the last one (and hopefully well over 10 chapters).

I hope everyone is doing well - I tried to catch up with everyone's journal for the last couple of weeks, but I only had time to comment on a few (it's bath time for my kids) but I loved reading what I could! Until next time...

Well, I've made a decision. I am Sick. To. Death of not having these fics finished. Unfortunately I can only squeeze in a little time here and there right now: fall carnival at my oldest son's school, which I am helping out with - it's beyond my comprehension why I ever volunteered for that in the first place, Halloween, appointments, holidays, Christmas shopping, etc. So for my New Year's resolution next year, fics will be finished! The bad news is, I have to stare at them for a few more months but the good news is that I'm fairly good at keeping my resolutions. Maybe I'll work in a Buffy marathon after Christmas to get myself worked up again. I miss the good ol' days when I could write two or three chapters in a day without a blink. But then, that was back when my kindergartener was a sweet and very calm baby who slept most of the time and gave me hours and hours of free time. I gotta say, a newborn is much easier than a five year old and two year old who are "best friends" LOL!

So this post doesn't really have much purpose except to say I'm still here and still planning to finish the fics. Now, if those of you who are still reading them don't see an update by February (and a BIG update at that) everyone just bombard my e-mail with complaints and I promise I won't take offense :-D.

Oh yeah - I've added everyone who requested it, but for some reason my profile is still showing that it's not updated, so I'm leaving this public and if you aren't on my flist, it's an LJ mistake. Let me know and I'll add you again :-).

It's been a while. I've spent all morning/afternoon catching on my  f-list, my comments, updating new friends and deleting those who deleted me - LJ maintenance takes a long time! Sorry if I didn't comment on your journal, I only left a few comments here and there - didn't even reach double digits. 

So here are the "Big" highlights of the last few months (speaking of hi-lights - I'm blonde again Lol!). Well, my oldest son turned five in March. I can't believe it! He was a newborn when I started writing fanfic and it seems like that was just last year. He got a brand new wooden swingset for his birthday (which was great fun putting together as I'm sure any parent on my flist will agree with *snort*). It really is the cutest thing though - it even has shutters on the little windows. His actual birthday was cloudy/drizzling rain/muddy, but he and his cousins did get to play on it for about 20 minutes.

He also graduated pre-school (the cutest ceremony I have ever been to!). They all dressed up as safari hunters and sang jungle songs and he even got a little diploma. He's now registered for kindergarten and I've already cried once. Yep, I'm a wuss. I'll be blubbering when we drop him off on his first day.

The littlest son will be two in September and he's starting the Mother's Day Out program two days a week, in the fall. My boys are growing up. Oh! And he also just moved into a "Big boy bed" so no more crib. He took to it really well - we can only hope potty-training goes as well, since his brother was four before he ever used the potty.

We've slowly been working on remodeling the house. The big remodeling won't come for another four years (when we can refinance it) but we're getting a lot accomplished here and there. We have to paint one of the bedrooms this summer, but other than that, I think we're pretty much caught up until we do the big remodeling project.

And me? I've also lost 15 pounds this year. 30 to go. I haven't been actively dieting this summer, but I've been maintaining it.

I got my wisdom teeth out (great fun) so I got a week of lounging around on the couch and having hubby wait on me hand and foot and the in-laws got baby-sitting duty, so it was actually a more relaxing week than I usually have, since I got to sleep a lot and get caught up on some books I'd been wanting to read. 

Speaking of, I've become obsessed with a new book series I stumbled across: Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series. Vampires, werewolves, witches, with a great romance built into each book - they are fantastic! The first three book covers are pretty ugly, but I guess that's the reason they say don't judge a book by it's cover. I cannot wait for the next book to be released in January! It will be the sixth in the series (technically the seventh - the first book was a novella). Her other books are really good too, but this is my current favorite series. It took the place of JR Ward's BDB series for me (the first four books in that series were amazing, but the last two have fallen flat). KC is such a talented author.

Well, that's it for me. Hopefully my next update won't be five months from now. Ugh! By then it will be Christmas again and I'll have to be wrapping a million and a half presents! Just kidding - I actually love Christmas and buying presents (just not the wrapping of them).

Giants  won, baby!!!!! I'm not even a Giants fan, but I hate the Patriots so much! And the best thing is: we won't have to hear about how they are the greatest team in history! We've heard it all season, but you can't be the greatest team ever if you don't win the Superbowl! Woohoo!!! So excited! I think I might actually have to turn into a Giants fan, strictly because of this game Lol! 

Belicheat... ahem, I mean Belichick leaving the field before the game was even officially over is one of the crappiest examples of sportsmanship I have ever seen. Jackass. He couldn't even stay out there and support his team as they finished the game for one second? Ridiculous.

And the highlight film of Tom Brady getting sacked - I could watch that all day long :-D.

Looks like the 72 Dolphins are holding on to their title of being the greatest team ever.

Congratulations Giants fans!!!

Veronica Mars wasn't renewed and yet America's Next Top Model is being shown twice a week (one new show with a repeat of it on Sundays). You can tell the idiots from the WB moved over to CW. I won't be watching that network anymore.
