Samantha Ronson proposed to Lindsay Lohan on holiday with a £50,000 ring.
The 'Mean Girls' actress was thrilled when DJ Samantha suggested a civil partnership and presented her with the Cartier diamond band during their break in Mexico. The lovers were having dinner by the beach in Cabo San Lucas when a waiter came over with the ring which was hidden inside a covered silver tray. Extracted from the source below. I was checking my mail and this was the first thing i saw as MSN's headline when i got on the page. Surprising, much? Anyway, pretty much excited about how their wedding would be like and i guess Michael Lohan ain't gonna be happy about the proposal and etc. HAHAHA!

This is one of their best songs to date. Pete's lyrics are at an all-time high with this one. Patrick really shows his voice off in a way he never has before.
They say the captain Goes down with the ship So, when the world ends Will God go down with it?

Ace of Base Planning 2009 Album
And in order to get us pumped up for the trio's (sans original member Malin Berggren since 2007) comeback, Ace of Base will be releasing their Greatest Hits CD/DVD on November 10, 2008.

The 3-disc set includes one CD with the hits, a second CD containing remixes, and the third disc, a DVD containing all the music videos. Two new remixes, Wheel of Fortune 2009 and Don't Turn Around 2009 are included.
Sure you can spout off All That She Wants, Don't Turn Around, and The Sign as the singles that made the Swedish powerpop group what they are. But true fans will recognize Wheel of Fortune as an early demo that was re-recorded and released as a single in 1992. It failed to hit the charts in May of that year, and after a small-budget music video was shot, the single finally reached the charts in September of the same year.

Cast overboard in Tintin bust-up The Dominion Post | Tuesday, 14 October 2008
It is a plot so full of misadventure it could come straight from a Tintin book - and now it may have cost the widely anticipated film trilogy one of its stars.

Will that movie ever get made?! Although I found Thomas adorable in Love Actually, I wasn't too sure about seeing him as Tintin anyway, the latter is young maybe but I sure never pictured him that young. Who do you all think should get the part?
Can't wait for The Lovely Bones though!

New Music: Björk [ft. Thom Yorke]: "Nattura" [Stream]
Last week Pitchfork news reported on the new Björk single "Nattura", which features Thom Yorke on backing vocals and which was recorded to help protect the Icelandic environment. According to text on the promo, the song "highlights a grass roots movement in Iceland to reclaim the country’s natural resources and wilderness from the hands of big business and pollution." Someone has uploaded the song to YouTube, which of course means that it may not be the final version and could disappear at any time.
"Nattura" is described as "more of a protest and rallying cry than a lecture," and the aggressive drums and Björk's piercing vocals certainly bear that out. The only other sound heard, practically, is what would seem to be Yorke's voice, distinctive but certainly heavily processed as it floats in the background. It's a pulse-quickening song that flies by in three and a half minutes.
As reported earlier, "Nattura" shares its name with the website Nattura.info, a gathering place for the Icelandic environmental movement, and you can read more about Björk's thoughts on Nattura here.

| Don Cheadle Replaces Terrence Howard in Iron Man 2 |
[Tuesday

Marvel Studios has hired Don Cheadle to replace Terrence Howard in the upcoming Iron Man sequel. Cheadle will play Jim Rhodes, Tony Stark’s best friend and future War Machine. Director Jon Favreau has made numerous hints that War Machine may play a part in the second film. The Hollywood Reporter’s sources claim it was a conflict due to financial differences.
Earlier this year it was widely speculated that Marvel was trying to low ball Favreau with an offer not much higher than his initial payday for the first film. It is not unusual for salaries to double for a sequel, especially when the first film outperformed to the level that Iron Man had. But from what I understand, Marvel believes the superhero characters themselves are the real stars, and many believe they are being very thrifty in their negotiations for their future projects. Madonna Brings Filth and Wisdom to New York

Director Madonna attends a screening of her new film, Filth and Wisdom, hosted by The Cinema Society and Dolce and Gabbana at the IFC Center on Monday in New York City. The New Yorker is all sorts of confused about the film: “What vexes me most about Filth and Wisdom is the economics. Madonna has been a global star for decades. She has amassed a fortune, much of which presumably remains intact. She can’t have spent all of it on jodhpurs and conical bras. So why, when it came to launching herself as a film director, did she limit her budget to $365.23? Such, at any rate, is my estimate for the funding of Filth and Wisdom. If the actors were paid according to their talents, they cannot have cost more than forty bucks.” OUCH! The Hollywood Reporter sort of compliments it, but sort of slams the quirky dark comedy as well. UK’s Telegraph has mixed feelings about it as well. Trailer below!
