The "yellow" shirt isn't TOTALLY done yet.. i am going to make it so the top part isnt so unfinished looking...

I <3 Ferny for letting me use her machine. I've hand sewn my last several recons and, while I love hand sewing for its accuracy and control, it just takes forever and things never lie flat the way they do with a machine. So...I decided to really try some more complicated stuff while I have a machine to use. This one is a bit kooky, but I really love it.

A lack of job is making my little post-college brain go crazy. I had two shirts lying around that I never wore, (sorry no before shots) so I decided to put them together. I added the zipper because the bowie shirt was cut down the middle for a neckline.

... no, not really. i honestly wouldn't want nine inch nails and i don't really fancy the band's music either, but my nails are seriously lacking the girly factor. i.e. i bite them. a lot. since i started teaching myself guitar i've started to leave them alone a bit, but well, they're still short. my longest nail is 6 millimetres. ouch.
so, inspired by my lack of nails, i decided to do a recon...
i didn't get a chance to take a picture of the original tee, because i only found this site in the middle of the reconstructing process. uh i started with a plain black tee, men's size xxs, which was still hella loose for me. i painted the words "i bite" on it and then, because i obviously suffer from Itchy Fingers i pulled out my sewing kit and my fabric scissors and got to work. first i cut out the neckline and the back, and then i ripped the sleeves, then i pinned and sewed the back.
i wanted a slouchy, raw-edged scoopnecked tank that i could pair with high-waisted skirts or jeans, and that's exactly what i got after 2 hours (i cannot sew fast to save my life). thank god i wanted it raw-edged 'cause i'd have died sewing up all the hems and shit. (p.s. kinda image-heavy, do be warned)

Hey! I am new too...but I love weather, storms, clouds, tornadoes, etc...!
There was a big storm a couple of days ago in my city and I took videos of the storm just like ever and wanted to share this because the color resulting of the sky is really beautiful! So the pictures there are pictures I extract from the videos...
