regardless of the fact that we argue alot....
....you think it's easy for me to just stay in the sidelines and watch yourself get hurt?

i think not.

we don't get along,
we usually hate each other,
but i don't enjoy seeing you get hurt.
it hurts me seeing you be like that.

i can't exactly do something about it,
it'll seem like it's my fault.

we live and we learn.... but what's the point if you keep getting hurt from the same mistake?

Because Fall Semester is starting again.

I'm tired, yet accomplished.

I've had 4 weeks of pure working summer so far, and I have 2 weeks left until:

1) Fall semester starts. It's my last Fall Semester because why? I'M GOING TO CAL STATE FULLERTON NEXT YEAR, BAYBEH!

2) I give up the whole full-time job, full-time school scenario for a more achievable 30-hour (stilll a lot, but it's OK) work, full-time school schedule. Yay! I get more time to study, which will help me boost up the GPA I neglected over the past year. :\

This has been my home. Haha I love my cubicle --- that and all my monitor's 22-inch widescreen LCD goodness. ;D Listening to Ryan Seacrest's morning radio show has been a ritual, and I live off of Ellen K's Sleeze chismis.

School, work, family, choir, friends and Ryan. Life can't get any crazier... but i LOVE IT. :)

Lucky lucky, you're so lucky!
I have never won anything. "Won" in the most random possible sense, that is. Some people might argue that I've won a bunch of Lomography awards, but those required me to put in some kind of effort (like taking nice pictures and writing a short story). I can't remember anything else I've won lately offhand, but those prizes weren't exactly randomly given to me.

And Philippine STAR Christmas party raffles don't count, because there's always at least one prize for every person present!

So imagine my surprise when I got a call last Friday from Singapore. (I knew it was from Singapore because I recognized the country code. I'm geeky like that.) I don't know anybody in Singapore. The only things about Singapore that I am familiar with are the Sentosa aquarium, Orchard Road shopping, and MTV Asia headquarters.

Believe it or not, I actually won a free trip for two to the 2008 MTV Asia Awards! They're flying me and a friend of my choice (I'm bringing Carla!) to Malaysia and checking us into a hotel for two nights and giving us tickets to the event. This had absolutely nothing to do with my being affiliated with anyone -- I just got randomly selected because I registered on the website sometime last month and voted for Sandwich twice, and then promptly forgot that I even registered. AMAZING. JUST AMAZING.

Part of me didn't believe it until I got the official e-mail, and then the e-tickets for the flight. We're leaving next Friday. Of course, I'm just another fan so I'm not going to get the kind of seats I'm used to, but WHATEVER! WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! Going abroad sans parents with one of my best friends for the first time in my life! It's one for the books!

I'm really hoping that this trip and the release of Breaking Dawn (Stephenie Meyer's writing sucks, but Edward Culleeeeeeeeeennnnnn!) on the same weekend will make up for the massive suckage that was this week.

I did a little research and there doesn't seem to be a single swimming pool in all of Genting, so I won't pack a swimsuit. Besides, I modeled a bikini I got in the States that I have yet to wear, and OMG I look like a whale. :( Even worse since I kind of just got back from the Bench Blackout Underwear Show a few hours ago, so I feel so inadequate. Hahaha.

Diether Ocampo threw his underwear in our direction, and we knew just from keeping an eye on the trajectory that it would land on us. Umilag kami. He might have been insulted, but hello, even if he wasn't wearing them, he still pulled them out of his crotch! Do not want! Hahaha! We picked it up off the floor afterward and gave it to a very excited and possibly gay man who did not thank us. Sana binigay ko nalang kay RJ Ledesma. Oh well.

But yeah, OMG, MALAYSIA ON FRIDAY! I CAN'T WAIT!

DVD Music Lists
Hey there Skins fans!

I've noticed a lot of people have been asking about the DVD replacement music and I was wondering if anyone had a track list of the songs that were replaced and what they were replaced by.

I'm personally looking for the song that replaced 'Sunflower' by Low at the end of Jal's episode, so if anyone could help out, I'm sure there are many of us who'd be grateful.

Cheers!

That "rocker" chick (on this season of Project Runway) needs to go home already. HAAAAATE. Doesn't listen to her "client" and keeps whining about how she doesn't like not working with leather. Hello, maybe the fabric is fine, but you just can't sew!

Fuckery
Okay, I'm seriously annoyed right now. I'm going to write it out in bullet format because I cannot properly articulate my frustration.

1. So I won a trip to Malaysia to catch the MTV Asia Awards. I'm bringing Carla. It's next week.

2. I'm going to have to cut either my Friday (August 1) or Monday (August 4) classes, because it's a two-night stay.

3. That means I'm definitely cutting History and Theology.

4. I have cut History 2.5 times. I have cut Theology 3 times. I know it's my own damn fault for being lazy, but you try putting up with my Theology teacher without wanting to kill yourself.

5. So this obviously means that I'm going to have 3.5 cuts for History and 4 cuts for Theology. Take note that it's not even the end of August yet.

6. When is sem break? End of September? Mid-October?

7. Unfortunately, the school administration has decided that August 7 (Thursday) is not actually a Thursday -- it's a Monday.

8. That means that I'm going to have History and Theology on August 7.

9. I scheduled my grad photo shoot for August 7 afternoon because I was counting on only having Philosophy, which I could probably make it to, and if I couldn't, well, it's the one subject I haven't cut.

10. I CANNOT CUT HISTORY AND THEOLOGY AGAIN. Because if that happens I will only have four cuts left for each. For the REST of the semester.

11. Obviously these circumstances are not within my control, since I have no hold over the Ateneo administration and their decisions to fuck up the ordained arrangement of days.

12. This decision was also made AFTER I signed up for my photo slot.

13. Doesn't that mean that I shouldn't have to get a fucking SIGNED EXCUSE LETTER from either of my teachers because they also had ZERO control over the scheduling decisions? And isn't it just obvious that this turn of events is going to affect a lot of people so they should be prepared for that?

14. WELL APPARENTLY NOT. So I have to fucking type up an excuse letter and have my teacher sign it and then possibly pay more money because the Ateneo administration decided to play God. To make my purpose for rescheduling "believable." Maybe they want to see my registration form? Class from 1:30 to 4:30.

15. Wonderful.

16. Can I just NOT have my picture in the yearbook? It's not like it's the high school yearbook or anything, where you actually know (and possibly care about) all the people in it.

17. Also, I haven't asked anyone to do my write up and I don't know who to ask.

18. Do not bitch at me for bitching -- I'm entitled to it.

treat yourself
DD/GA press has been MINDBLOWING. As expected, i still find both of them delightful - together moreso, and i have been squealing like a pig on a spit all night. You guys, has it really been 15 years? That is unbelievable to me, that sounds like a lifetime. That means that in five years, the pilot will be 20 years old?? Oh... my god? That's a whole human being's worth of years! It's like i have been taking care of this child for so long and all of a sudden he has a favorite liquor! MY BABIES. GROWING UP SO FAST.

Hillary Clinton took a page from Early!Scully )

In order to allay any bitterness about the fact that XF2 was supposed to be released here today (LIES. ALL LIES.), i took some friends out to see The Dark Knight again! It is still UNBEFLIPPINLIEVABLE. Also, I cannot believe that it took me thiiiiis loooooong to realize that Barbara Gordon was actually Melissa Scully?!?!?!?! UHHHHHHHH. YEAH. I can spot Jeffrey Spender beneath a hail of rubble and gunfire in The Incredible Hulk but it takes me two viewings to recognize someone whose face was in plain view the entire time that also happened to be in a more notable role? My radar is weak. But yeah. Missy!!! Awwwww!

I've finally figured out my birthday plans, and i'll be doing something i've never done before - a birthday self-date. I realize sounds kind of pathetic, but the fact is that i think in the same way that only real men wear pink, i think that i am secure enough in my relationships and person-ness that i should be capable of spending this day by myself without succumbing to the void of "SO RONERY". It's not like i'm going to spend it sitting in a corner crying, i'll do things that are important to me! I'll drive out to the five-level Fully Booked and buy the Discworld graphic novel and read it in the park there, maybe buy myself a pretty cupcake as well. Or I'll order a Corona Chicken Salsa and sit in bed and finish what's left of the series (still stuck at Drive - and ONLY until Requiem.). I haven't really decided yet, but it should be - if nothing else - the most relaxing day i've had in a while.
