Dear God,
I am weak. Please help me acknowledge that. I am no superpower, please help me remember that. And in times of my own folly, help me laugh at myself and know that you'll always pick me up anyways. I am nothing by myself. And fortunately, I am never by myself. :)
You are good!

Today's service was really good. Torch preached such a thought provoking message which sent me into like an embarrassing bout of melancholy(!!!). I hate it when that happens in public!!!! I have severe expression issues for those who know me longer. Anyway I was reminded of some very fundamental issues about walk in god thanks to mei goh. Sometimes we just need to hear some things over and over again even though we've already learnt it before. We can never get enough. :)
So, yup. I've got something to pray about tonight. Never getting specific answers means my christian walk gets more and more exciting each day because it is a rollercoaster (awww) adventure with God every moment as I dip in to trust! I should stop being frustrated and start looking at things more positively! |

"Sometimes saying yes to God requires obedience in a small thing. Like having a mildly uncomfortable one-on-one conversation. Choosing to overlook a small offense. Going the extra mile in our preparation even though no one else may ever know it. Other times, saying yes to God is costly and risky. Like when we moved to Charlotte with nothing but the dream of a powerful church. Or when we started our second campus with less than a month lead time. Or gave our offering away one Sunday to kick off our capital campaign. This past Sunday I watched hundreds and hundreds of adults say yes to Jesus in baptism. The whole thing was made possible by an incredible staff and volunteer force that said yes to the challenge of pulling it off. God wants a yes. And when He gets it, His blessings are sure to follow."
