Mike marsh is cooler than i thought.

It is very hard for a photographer to find steady, full-time work. In 2005, Illinois had only 1,900 openings not including self-employment and the growth rate of job openings is only expected to rise 27%over the next 12 years. If you went to school for math instead of photography, you would know thats not a lot of jobs opening up in the next 12 years for photography. Have fun taking NASCAR themed family portraits at Wal-Mart.
