[11 May 2008|03:45pm] alexismint [ mood | southern comfort ] [ music | don't eat the yellow snow - frank zappa ] my weekend was full of car parties! so ridiculous. sal is my new favorite person, and zeytinia's has awesome free samples. dj and i ate a whole container of peanut butter while there because we have no money and we were hungry. we walked around the parking lot and we each found a quarter so we were then able to buy candy bars. yea that's right, 25 cent candy bars. it was sooo neat. my clock is possessed. it makes weird noises at me in the middle of the night, so i unplugged it. but now i don't know what time it is! and also i do not know how to wake up in the morning since the clock is my alarm clock. oooh bother. all of my ants are dying and i'm kind of sad. i should get more. i just ate 3 cupcakes. and a cheeseburger. in 20 minutes. but there is this delicious cake on the table downstairs that i am going to go eat.        - alex i am heaven sent|don't you dare forget

signed, sealed, delivered (wrapping up) [10 May 2008|01:49pm] the_indiekid Adam woke us at 6 this morning before leaving to catch his flight. To be shaken out of sleep in order to say goodbye to a guy that I have to know very well was heart-wrenching. From the time last year where I wasn't sure that I was alright with my decision to invite him to room with us (because the three person singles in this dorm are great), to the here and now, my opinion on so much has changed. Adam didn't know bring with him a touch of Korea to our lives, he brought a new perspective on those potential citizens to the United States in the years following 9/11. Now after spending a month or two with his family in California, he'll be returning to Korea to serve his time in the army. Sean and I will be graduating when he comes back from his leave of absence....I hope to see him again, though I know the possibility of flying out to California before he leaves is quite slim. That leaves us the future. Last night I concluded the jello wrestling portion of my college career. Final grades are coming in even as I am prepping to finish off the semester with Japanese, and I'm not really all that pleased. I worked harder this semester than even before and have very little to show for it. Le sigh. At this point I am ready to go home. i am heaven sent|don't you dare forget

[08 May 2008|09:18pm] alexismint [ mood | excited ] [ music | good excuse - john butler ] dj and i went on a trip today to get my haircut and to get her prom shoes and to return a pair of my shoes. it should have taken us 3 hours tops, but no. of course that didn't happen. we left home at 3 and we got home at 9. numerous people in my life have told me to invest in a gps system but i never listen. ha ha ha. it was ridiculous. we ended up by like, past newark airport. twice. and a bunch of other random places. whatevkies! we had lots of good music to listen to. and my hair looks pretty neat. it's very comfortable. ad dj's prom shoes are fab. but i forgot my shoes at home so i didn't get to return them. phooey. i have a delicious veggie burger smothered in artichoke cheese dip waiting for me downstairs. i'm just... excited. i'm excited.        - alex don't you dare forget
