I would like to recommend this book to anyone looking for something to read =D It's a debut young adult fantasy novel, the first of a trilogy, and it's out in the UK & America, Japan and a few European countries; in Australia you have to order it in. Here is a link to it on amazon.com. It's brain-bendingly good, and I am now desperate for the next one. |

In other news, I love Kakashi/Iruka so much. I dunno if I love the Naruto manga as much as I love the Bleach manga, but there is so much Irukashi fic to be found! I love it allll~~~
Another thing. Star Trek. Why was I bowled over by this? A combination of _megalomania_'s texty influence and sarahtales' scarily accurate parody-recap, perhaps? The Kirk/Spock dynamic in that movie has burnt itself into my brain. Not to mention old favourite characters, suddenly all new and shiny. Who else wanted to pinch Chekhov's cheeks and coo? Or slap McCoy on the ass so you could watch him turn and glare? Also, Simon Pegg as Scotty - brb loling forever.
And yes, it is Friday. *gusty sigh* There is much to be said on work and the possibly receding madness, but it is Friday. I am only here to squee today.

edit 3 Has anyone read The Mortal Instruments Trilogy by cassandraclare? I bought the lot with glee and thought it was pretty awesome, though it put me heavily in mind of her old Draco Trilogy.
