Has anyone else had a problem with the "contract" some of the venues may have signed with Brand New? Or at least the one Slims has signed with them tonight?

Two friends of mine drove 7 hours down to see the show with the tickets I had ordered because I was unable to go, and they weren't allowed in. They had a copy of my driver's license, all of my credit card info, and a hand-written note by me stating they could pick up the ones under my name. On the main site it says they just need the note and the license copy, but I guess on the brand new page it states special circumstances of this show (which I was told on the phone). So right now I have two friends stuck outside the show with two tickets going to waste. I really love Brand New, but this just seems ridiculous. I understand it's probably to protect against scalping, but why would I rip someone off and give them my credit card info? That makes no sense to me.

I've seen Brand New 3 times and have never had this much trouble before with tickets.

Are there any fics where someone in the band has a strange phobia, normal phobia, any phobia? Doesn't matter what pairing.

Maybe some kind souls would bother to write up the lyrics?
For people like me who aren't native english and some words are quite hard to catch!

Brand New frontman Jesse Lacey says his emo-rock band's new effort is more collaborative than previous releases. "The lyric writing on this record was shared a lot more between [guitarist] Vincent [Accardi] and myself," Lacey says. "After the last three records I think I was feeling a little exhausted for ideas, and I think Vin has a brain full of them. We write about what we want to know, and I think the four of us question our lives and life in general in the same way." Lacey adds that even though more voices are involved, the band's songs haven't changed all that much. "The song 'Stones' again started out with a guitar track that didn't really sound like you could do anything on top of. I was having trouble hearing what could happen with someone singing over the track. Then I came in one morning and Vin had laid down this really pretty and chanting chorus over the beginning of the song and it was smoother sailing from there. We managed to make it obnoxious by screaming over the rest of the track, which is what we do when we're stuck." (source)

I've been trying to record. I never thought that my "audio problem" could extend itself to a "recording problem". Well, that's what has just happened. For the past two months, I've been complaining that my computer has a slight "delay" problem. If I put on Animal Collective's Merriweather Post Pavilion, it is immediately apparent. The sound weaves in and out instead of being a constant barrage of goodness. Well, my computer sucks and I might as well listen to whatever music I have on my i-pod, but that's no good because it's a 2 gig i-pod and I need it to travel so I won't waste the batteries, but I will bitch about the fact that I can't play any sort of audio without having the slight delay effect on them.

I've tried switching music players, but it's not just the music players that share the problem. It's also video, but that has never bothered me because images are more consistent than sound on my computer.

I'm really pissed that I can't record. That totally throws me out of the game for recording 50in90. I can still write, but I can't put my songs that I'm working on on my i-pod because I can't record without having some delay. It's terrible.

And my dad fixes computers but he's no help.

Does anyone know any good Chubby!fics? Any pairing is boss. Either Chubby!bob or Chubby!gerard. And, if there are any ones where someone else in the band is chubby?...yeah include that.

Last week I went to the Garden State Plaza with Little (run_devil) and we hung out for several hours waiting to see Tom Felton (aka Draco Malfoy). While we weren't able to get wristbands for an autograph, we did get to the Q&A forum. This was actually pretty fun! Scarey Jones from Z100 was there, and also Melissa from LeakyCauldron.com and Andrew from Mugglenet.com were doing trivia. Both Little and I were able to get posters :) Then Tom came out for like ten minutes at most, answered a few questions, looked adorably overwhelmed, and left. It was totally worth it! And I got to spend time with my little <3

Then of course Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was released! I donned a beautiful Slytherin shirt (there weren't any Ravenclaw shirts my size, so I went for the second best house) and had my Hogwarts crest bag and I waited in line :) It was ridiculous how many people were there! It was as I expected, but I still like feeling excited with how many people still are in love with HP. As for the movie itself, well:

overall grade: A- (the humor made the lack of depth tolerable)

After the movie, my friends and I went to the bathroom and there were these two girls there too. They asked me all these questions about the movie that they didn't understand. Basically, they've never read the books so they don't know a lot of the background plot that can't be shown in the movies... Which made me realize that if you don't know the books, you are completely missing out on some of the most important information. Sucks to be them.

ON ANOTHER NOTE: Harry Potter Musical? I've had the songs stuck in my head for weeks! lol
