Как сейчас помню, 2 сентября, ровно 3 года назад, Питер, Мюзик-Холл. Тогда мы шли на концерт со смутным представлением о том, что на ожидает. Дааа, Патти Смит, да...
Потом мы, конечно же, охренели от увиденного и осознали, как нам повезло.

Меняем Питер на Москву, Мюзик-Холл на Б1, проматываем 3 года вперед.
Не знаю, какая сила затащила меня на этот концерт, но в любом случае огромное ей спасибо!
Это было охрененно!

Бля, да она ж больше похожа на городскую сумашедшую! Вышла в какой-то драной белой майке, в странном пиджаке, в какой-то вязаной шапочке. Играла на гитаре, на кларнете, плевалась на сцену, читала стихи, изящно посылала нахуй, танцевала руками. С ней играл сын, она пела песни про мужа, про CBGB, про много чего еще.
Мой приятель категорично выразился про то, что она спела Smells Like Teen Spirit, а считаю, что это нормально, что это зашибись. Такой бабушке можно все, особенно когда она - "бабушка панк-рока"))

В общем, в 60 лет я хочу быть похожа на Вас, дорогая Патти Смит!

И вот не будет здесь никакого ритуального нытья, мол, лето прошло, впереди сопли-слякоть, холода. Лично я вздохну с облегчением.
Лето было не то что бы отстой полный, но где-то очень рядом. Но несмотря на это "желанья отравиться, что не так сложилось лето" нет. Скорее есть желание отравить.
Что-то я сильно краски сгущаю. Были и позитивные моменты, я о них может даже как-нибудь и расскажу

Spent a little bit of time with Tasha earlier this evening - she's the last of my friends to leave and then soon, I'll leave.

( yeah, she's pretty damn awesome )

I'll start heading for San Francisco on the 15th of September to see Alisa, Leah, Sarah, possibly Turtle and Tank if they're available - then to leave for the Salton Sea a few days later.

Then I'll see Claire, whom I miss dearly, and Angel and Venus will be flying down in early October. People will come and go to join our little collective...photographers, musicians, writers, filmmakers..artists all. We'll be exploring the desert sea and creating masterpieces.

Around mid-October, Venus will be joining me for a trip through the Deep South, then North to New York for a couple of days around the 20th where she'll stay with Stephanie and I'll continue on to Montreal to see good friends again and possibly pick up one to go cross the continent back to the Salton Sea. This is the great North American Road Trip that I had dreamed of undergoing since two years ago and now it's happening.

This will be the most amazing trip that I will be going on to this date, with great friends accompanying me every step of the way.

I love you all, and I will tell you so.

EDIT: I am excited about this group of people that will converge on the Salton Sea. It's good food that we cook ourselves at night and campfires and wine. It's music and long talks about life beneath a sky so thick with stars they look like smudges of white painted across the sky. And it's about discussions of art and how it has changed and affected our lives, and it's about photography and everything else that moves us.

EDIT #2: For reasons that will become very obvious in a couple of days, Claire will also be joining Venus and me to New York in mid-October. This is going to be beyond great - all other road trips I will ever take will pale in comparison to this one.

A few months ago, I played tour guide to a Japanese exchange student and long story short, she ended up handing me a $40 gift card for HMV. Any must have CD's I need to buy? Any suggestions? Been listening to Cold Play recently and rather love the sound. The Teaches of Peaches was also a favourite, though it's quite a different sound.

Melo has come and gone and I miss her a little already. Right now I'm finishing up some obligations and preparing for the next stage of my adventures - it'll be a doozy. Natasha, my other favourite girl from Montreal is here and I've been trying to see her as much as I can, but it's not enough. There's just too many places to show her and not enough time. I miss her, too.
