I love that you guys post the new sketches here because I always, always miss them so I rely on you guys to catch them and post them here.. but if you're able to save the pictures can you please, please try and save/include the names of the sketches too in your post? It would be super helpful when I add them to the photobucket, otherwise I have to add the sketches without a name and that makes me sad. Thanks! On Father's Day, I got a Kurt Halsey tattoo dedicated to my dad. He passed away when I was 10 and I've always wanted a tattoo in remembrance of him but not one that was cliche and said R.I.P. or just had his name. I wanted a picture or a figure that I could relate too and that would make me smile whenever I looked at it. Well here it is =) ( Our favorite songs... ) I got it done at Colorfast Studios in Fort Lauderdale, FL by Jose. He was great. The shading came out PERFECT. He said he didn't want to do a flat teal/aqua because it would look too boring and not heal well and have depth. I agreed and he came up with this. A few different shades of the teal and then the orange and yellowish all came out wonderful. Instead of the worm at the end of the string, I got my father's initials. I chose this piece because the bird reminds me of him flying away but never leaving, always hovering over watching me. And I love the headphones because music of course has been the BIGGEST help in my grieving process. I hope you all love it. Sorry if the quality isn't 100% great, these pics are with my iPhone. I can only wear it for a few minutes, before my neck turns into this horrible red rash. It's making me totally bummed about it. Has anyone tried coating it with something yet? Firefly necklace [July 06 2009 1:42pm] kurt_halsey [becomingunstuck] [ mood | disappointed ] I just received my firefly necklace in the mail and when I put it on, it immediately fell off.  Upon closer inspection, the clasp is broken.  It has been bent and won't even close all the way.  My dad said that he *might* be able to fix it but I don't know if I want to risk breaking it further since it wasn't cheap (the necklace was a little bit out of my budget).  Art Star is closed today so I can't call them but how friendly are they in regards to making exchanges?  Am I going to be expected to pay to ship it back to them even though the merch was defective when it was sent out? WHAAAT [July 05 2009 8:28am] nonsensical [ mood | sick ] [ music | Nightmare of You - 'My Name is Trouble' ] O GOD all of yesterday was so silly, I worked for like seven hours and then went straight to Dave's party where I proceeded to essentially down two very strong gin & lemonades and I don't even know where the evening went but it was spent in Mike's parents' bed with Chole & Josh. I thought one was supposed to gain confidence as one grew older but I am getting literally more awkward by the day, what. I feel like I'm going backwards. I've had about thirty minutes very interrupted sleep and am leaving for work again in five minutes.
