.history.

Rae was always considered the baby of House Taerin, and she tends to take that role to heart. She looked up to her two sisters, Irene and Lauren, and wanted to follow in their footsteps so that she wouldn't continue to be the one left behind. Her parents were against this at first, as they wanted at least one of their daughters to remain home all of the time, though they changed their minds after they saw the effect that it had on Rae, as well as having her older sisters press upon them how 'nice' it would be if the three of them would be able to journey together.

Rae wanted to fly a pegasus for as long as she could remember, despite a mild fear of heights. Her sisters were already messengers by the time she was born, so she didn't get to spend as much time with them in her early years as they all would have liked. She remembers how happy she was when she met Siuan for the first time; it is something she keeps close to her heart and never intends to forget.

Rae was devastated when Lauren left her to stay with Celeste almost immediately after the channels opened, and for a time she resented Celeste for it, though by now has gotten over it, mostly, save for slight pangs of jealousy from time to time, though having other friends of her own has softened it. Somewhat stressed with the strife between her sisters, and after traveling to Atsiria with Irene, she took Siuan riding one day and ended up far away from Razen. She didn't realize how far she had gotten until she met her now best-friend, Prince Finlay of Hanalan, quite by chance, and was very lucky.

For some time she traveled with the Prince and Princess of Hanalan, the trio having gotten separated from their knights at one point in the journey. Eventually they all ended back together, meeting up with the Archer brothers, who joined them on the long trek to Megam, which they actually managed to reach, months later. Surprisingly enough, they caught up to Lauren's group. Torn between her new friends and rejoining her sister, Rae "vowed" only to go with Lauren if she asked, though she really missed being with her so much that it hurt. Finlay stowed away on the boat with them as well, which made her very happy.

Now traveling with Franelcrew, Rae has become close to quite a few people within the group, who continue to support her and her sister while the drama caused by Irene from home continues to confuse and overwhelm them. She does not understand the full implications of the situation in Korin, and the thought of going home isn't one that she is too thrilled about, because she worries if she goes home she might want to stay. Rae didn't know what to think when she and her sister Lauren learned that their mother, Clara, was expecting another child.

The return to Atsiria was not as pleasant as it could have been. While at first Rae was glad to be in the company of all of her friends, Queen Edalene included, the abrupt change in situation (Lord Lawrence being accused of murdering the king) turned the entire atmosphere of Razen to be completely miserable. Having become close to Lawrence, Rae became terrified of losing him, and was extremely relieved after he and Faith were rescued from a terrible fate.



.personality.

Being as young as she is, Rae is fairly impressionable. When she's in the company of her sister Lauren, she allows herself to be more open, cheery and curious; she's generally happier and smiles a lot in this sister's presence, because she doesn't feel as pressured. When she is in the company of her oldest sister, Rae tends to be more quiet and subdued, though Irene's presence makes her more nervous that she is going to do something wrong and get scrutinized for it. The last thing that she wants, however, is to embarrass her sisters, because she knows full well that any missteps that she makes will be reflected on them.

She has a fear of storms that can make her especially clingy.

Overall, she is a sweet-tempered girl with a bright and sunny nature, and rather naive. She used to be more shy around people who weren't her sisters, though over time began to enjoy talking to people and became rather close with them. She is very curious, and her curious nature compiled with her naivete is what could get her into trouble if she isn't watched carefully.



.appearance.

Rae is very small and agile, and has a slender build. She probably won't be very tall when she gets older, as little as she is currently. Her complexion is pale, and her eyes are bright and violet. Her hair is a soft shade of green, which covers her forehead completely with a thick fringe of bangs that fall to just above her eyes.

Her favorite riding outfit is similar to her sister Lauren's, for obvious reasons. White and simple, and she does her best to try not to get it dirtied. Her riding boots are of simple brown leather, as is her belt, and her armor is pink, plain but sturdy enough to keep her protected. For colder temperatures, she will slip on a pair of warm leggings that won't hinder her movements in the air.
