For about a year now I have been waiting on a a game that would truly
grasp my attention, and make me remember why I used to be such an avid
PC gamer. With the exception of HL2 (which is incredible) nothing ever
really caught my eye.
I found myself falling back on older games, and playing them
extensively. Games like Neverwinter Nights, Dawn of War, Knights of the
Old Republic, Matrix Online (ok fairly new), Max Payne 2 and
Battlefield were played heavily, with no hope of me ever spending any
money on games ever again. Gone were the days where the first outgoing
from my monthly pay was listed on my account as 'GAME - Fredrick
Street'.
Only the other day, after Gurn and I went through a major burst of
nostalgia and resurrected old games like 'Archanoid' & 'Beneath a
Steel Sky' I lamented over games like Broken Sword and Monkey Island
wishing that similar style games, with a new twist would come out in
today's market.
Well I think perhaps the gods were listening as I came across Indigo Prophecy
from Atari. The game itself is not out here yet (due out in the states
tomorrow) however hopefully it will be with us soon (gameplay doesn't
have it listed as yet :( ). I for one will be looking to purchase
this as soon as it comes out as it appear exactly what I was looking
for from a game.
If you wanna have a look at what the game has to offer take a look at the site above coupled with this.
I is pleased now :)
