Concert Details.

So Brandyn and Pam picked me up around 4 Saturday and we went over to Sam's apartment and Pam dropped us off. So about 6:15 Sam decided it was time for us to leave, so we all piled in (Me, Brandyn, and Sam) and took off in his yellow sports car (lol). Sam is 23 or something, I think. He's really short and rather stocky, but oh he is super funny. On the way we played 20 questions, I totally won because I kept them guessing for a long time on "Darkwing Duck". Anyways, Atlanta was packed with traffic, go figure. We were worrying whether we were going to get a parking slot, when these kids moved a sign that said "$5 Parking" and let us through for free. I think they were opening it up for their friends, because after another car came through, they blocked it again. So we got to park for free.

We wondered around a bit to find where the concert was, and we got there in the middle of The Dead 60's last song. They were really good from what I heard. Anyways, there was a 30 minute break between the end of the Dead 60's and the beginning of The Bravery, in which a really stupid guy jumped off of a lightpole and landed on some girl who passed behind us to get out to the paramedics or something with a profusely bleeding head. The crowd got really bored or something between bands, so there was a lot of crowd surfing and stupid stuff going on in the breaks, and a lot near us. Sam and Brandyn like made a cage around me to make sure I wouldn't get hurt too badly. I got kicked in the back of the head by a crowd surfer once, but other than that, I did a good job of not getting beat around too much.

It smelled horrible. Not only can I not stand smoke smells, there was alcohol and ugh, I hate that too, and it mingled smells nasty. Some guy spilled his beer and it got all over my shoes and all. not the cloth part though. it was still gross.

Anyways, when the Bravery started, a mosh pit broke out close to us, but stopped before it got right next to us. Though jostling is really inevitable. People were throwing bottles and shoes and everything. And this girl got up on a lightpole and flashed everyone, which I thankfully did not whitness. I mean I could see it coming so I looked away. The couple in front of me made out a lot of the time. Oh and we were just about 30 feet away from the stage when we got there, but we kept edging closer. We found David there! So he hung around us.

So after the bravery there was another 30 minute break. It was rainy and stuff, which was good because we were all hot and sweaty and just needed to cool off. Sam told me he was surprised I was still okay and said I was doing really well compared to a lot of girls in the crowd my size. We saw a total of 10 people having to be carted away through the crowd because of injury or just passing out, and that was just by us. The place was packed. Really packed.

Anyways, so the Weezer concert began with that song from Pinocchio "When You Wish Upon A Star", which was totally awesome, especially because that's one of my favorite Disney movies. Then they started off with Say It Ain't So. It was just amazing. Though I could only see them when I was jumping. I smashed a few toes while jumping, oops!

They played all the awesome songs like My Name Is Jonas, No One Else, Say It Ain't So, Island In The Sun, Beverly Hills, Undone, We Are All On Drugs, and lots of others. They came out and sang a few for encore after they went off. Hashpipe and Surfwax America included.

Finally the kid in front of me moved (dude he was like 7 ft, I swear!!) and I could finally see the stage and I was like "They really are up there!!!"

We left and we smelled horrible, but it was such a fun show. It was Brandyn and David's first concert as well. My calves hurt from jumping most of the time, and I had to jump on my toes so I didn't smash feet and everything.

So we got to Brandyn's house around midnight and I stayed the night there, took a shower, and in the morning went to church with them, spent Sunday with them, and then they came to our house and everything.

I think Steven is mad at me for going when he didn't go though.

Anyways, It was the greatest fun I have ever had! I loved it!!! Ahhhh it was great!! :D
