This should be prefaced with the warning that I only update once every three months or so. I read my friends pages less often than that. It's not that I don't care, but the internet must be reserved for those of us with time on our hands. I'm a busy, busy girl.
I'm 36 years old and a single mother. My daughter will be eleven in July. She is my best friend and we do almost everything together. I say almost, because she can't hold her liquor like I can.
I have two BAs and graduated from the University of Mobile summa cum laude. I'm currently paying masses of loans for said education(s) and am looking for a cheap (read: free) way to obtain my masters degree. At 36, I'm still not sure what I want to be when I grow up.
Do I shoot for law school? a ph.d and become a college professor? pursue a career path in library science? My life is a perplexity of self-analysis and the answers remain perpetually fogged and just out of reach.
I currently work in restaurant management. My official job title is "Vice President of Operations and Marketing." My official job description seems to be "blame-taker." Either way, the restaurant for which I work has proven madly successful in Mobile and after only three months open, we've already been approached to franchise. I have a very close network of friends. We've taken to calling ourselves the 'clique' in an attempt to relive the glory days of high school. They range from stay-at-home moms to unemployed Muslims (he has a job now), but we love each other and we're there for each other in a manner never before experienced. The circle expands on occasion and tightens on occasion, but the core group are ones I know I can count on for bail, good times, babysitting, and to laugh or cry with me depending upon the situation. Not many people are as fortunate.
To sum this all up, my life is just like yours. My experiences make me uniquely the same as you. It's staggering really.
