I hurt my arm pretty bad a couple of days ago, and it was my right, so I don't know how long it'll be before I can make graphics again. So these are the ones I made up until then. There's only a few, but that's better than nothing right?

01. I started with this picture of Maggie Grace, which I got from Maggie Grace Online. I cropped it 100x100 pixels. Now we have our base:

02. Dupliacte the base once and set the blend mode to Screen @ 100%.

03. Create a new layer {Layer-->New-->Layer} and fill it with a light blue colour, I used #8AC7D4. Set the blend mode to Colour Burn @ 100%

04. Create a new layer and fill with a light pink colour, I used #D48C8C. Set the blend mode to Soft Light @ 100%

05. Duplicate the blue Color Burn layer, drag it to the top of all your layers and lower the opacity to 50%

06. Create a new layer, fill it with a dark blue colour, I used #032B57. Set the blend mode to Exclusion @ 20%.

07. Then I went Layer-->New Adjustment Layer-->Hue & Saturation. Set the Saturation to +55

08. Create a new layer and fill it with a dark pink colour, I used #F56464. Set the blend mode to Soft Light @ 20%.

09. Create a new layer and fill it with a medium blue colour, I used #64C7F5. Set the blend mode to Soft Light @ 40%.

10. Layer-->New Adjustment Layer-->Levels. The settings will depend on the picture you start with, but these were mine

RBG: 0, 1, 255
Red: 6, 1, 255
Green: 0, 1, 255
Blue: 14, 1.39, 255

11. Create a new layer, fill with a light grey colour, I used #D4D4D4. Set the blend mode to Colour Burn @ 50%.

Tutorial 19: Elizabethtown

I asked my f'list what icon they'd like a tutorial of, and the one with the most votes was extremely simple (thanks guys, heh). I'll probably end up doing some more over the week too :)

Difficulty: Easy

01. I started with a cap which I got from dj_capslock. I cropped it to 100x100 pixels and didn't sharpen, but if you need to then do that. So we have our base:

02. It was too dark so I duplicated the base twice and set both copies to Screen @ 100%. Now we have:

03. It was much lighter now, but didn't have much contrast. So I created a new layer and filled it with a medium blue colour. I used #6ACAED. Set the blend mode to Colour Burn @ 100%.

04. Duplicate the Colour Burn layer. Change the blend mode to Soft Light and the opacity to 20%.

05. To take away some of the blue-ness I created a new layer and filled it with a medium pink colour. I used #ED6A6A. Set the blend mode to Soft Light @ 100%.

06. Finally I added a curves layer {Layer --> New Adjustment Layer --> Curves}. I've used this colouring for so many icons, and most of the time it works, but you may have to adjust them slightly for it to work, it depends on your starting base.

Red:

Blue:
First Point: 126 - 129
Second Point: 62 - 74
