this song is amazing!

Lyrics:

We've been terrorized
With television problems
At sale price
Well if it's too good to be true
We've been terrorized
With air-conditioned issues
In spare times
Well if it's too good to be true
I can't live without you

I've pretended to care for hours
I've pretended to care for days

But your mouth never closed
Your excuses are filled with holes
Suppose you're being lied to
Would you ever even know?

We've been terrorized
With air-conditioned issues
And spare crimes
What do you believe in more
We've been terrorized
The oldest magician returns
To steal your soul
(What do you believe in more?)

There's a special logic that grows with commercial perversion
(It'll put your mind at ease)
Just to be safe
(It'll put your mind at ease)
It's like being blindfolded all the time

But your mouth never closed
Your excuses are filled with holes
Suppose you're being lied to
Would you ever even know? Oh

Cause you'll be compensated for your testimonial
Just do your best to make it feel as real as possible
Cause you'll become ok with all the things you didn't know

Just to your best to make it seem natural

We've been terrorized
With television problems
At full price
Well if it's too good to be true
We've been terrorized
With air-conditioned issues
In spare times
Well if it's too good to be true
We've been terrorized [x4]

We'll be the last to know and the first ones to go

i had my weekly dinner date with jessica! we caught up and whatnot and then i went back home. i knew it was the fort building contest but there was no way i was going to build a fort?!? or so i thought. one girl from my hall, allison, was like blowing this whistle so i went and checked it out. i <3 whistles. it ended up being like almost all of the girls in my hall working on this huge, elaborate fort. it was surprisingly a really good time! it was our RA's idea so we were forced into participating. after like an hour and a half of building, we paraded up and down to the 4th and 2nd floors to check out our competition. it was weak! the boys in our hall built a "fort" that looked like a jail! they labeled it "home sweet home" hahaha. allison got mad and stopped building with us so we named our fort in dedication of her. so nice.

first real rainy day at college. i was by the time i got to english! i didn't mind too much, though. class was great today! all of them went by really fast. even math! i went to dinner with ian, emily, and jason tonight. we are such a good group. i love them all! we sat with amanda, katie, and lindsey as well. ben folds concert tonight!! i'm not going. but yeah, it was a nice, lively dinner. we all agreed that it should happen more than once a week AT LEAST. that's all i have to really say about today. good times. still a really great week!

oh man life is good

it was ironic today because i kept thinking about how badly i wanted to go on a bike ride. i figured i'd call megan to see if she wanted to come along. i ended up forgetting all about that by the time i got home from class and found that i had a missed call from her. it was fate!
yeah. so i just got back from a bike ride with megan! we hung out at the skate park for a while and made a new best friend. actually we made a few new best friends! this one kid (YEAHhoe is his nickname) and a whole bunch of bees. we actually weren't too fond of the bees. we went to wal-mart, got a few things, and then rode home. it was simple. it was nice.

it is the apple cider time of year again!

bike ride. this weather. apple cider.
it's going to be a good week

and to think i was going to take a nap after class!

on friday, ian, amanda, emily, and i accidentally went to a really good show at casa nueva. the first "band" that played was probably one of the worst things i have witnessed in my life. all they did was hit buttons on their computer and this little box thing and like move in slow motion. it made everybody's ears bleed, if i'm not mistaken! so ian and i went for a walk and came back in time for the next band. they were actually really good and interesting to watch. the lead singer really knows how to keep people interested. i don't know! he was crazy. and there was this black woman who was enjoying it too much. like really. she was laughing so hard. it was cute, though. she was having fun! and there was these two people dancing 105% of the time. it was like this 20 year old dude and a 50 year old woman. it was cute, funny, and interesting. i would like to know their story. we all went out to get some fresh air between the second and last bands. ian and i got ice water, came up with slogans for the snack attack burger at wendy's, and pet horses! he is so glad that he can write in his diary that he pet horses. i know, what a happy moment in his life. then we watched the third band! they used an electric cello. then we went back to ian's, chilled with a couple of other people, took a walk, and then i left. it was good.

i haven't really done anything since then. i slept a lot. my roommate can't even handle how much i sleep. haha. oh well! i should and probably will do laundry tonight

ok i have decided that the top two classes that i want(need) to take next quarter are japanese and geology of the national parks

(i need to remember to go to the study abroad meeting! i want to go to japan so badly. i should be makin' friends with all these japanese exchange students here! get some connections right quick)

- got dinner with julias verdes on tuesday. i saw her room. you need so much technology to do anything in her building! she even has an elevator. WHOA slow down

- i have a headache! so sad

- went to dinner tonight. it was hawaiian themed? what the heck! i didn't even know what to do. everything was set up as self serve. i want somebody to scoop my food for me! well, the veggie option was not self serve. so that was strange.

i guess i really don't have anything to say. this weather is making me so happy. the scent of crisp fall air is becoming more and more distinct with each passing day. i am so ready.

i think i am going to go for a peaceful walk and then to the library to work on some spanish. happy

AP EXCLUSIVE: THURSDAY SIGN TO EPITAPH; NEW ALBUM IN SPRING
Posted by Brian Shultz on 30-Sep-08 @ 12:42 PM

Alternative Press has exclusively learned that emotional post-hardcore pioneers Thursday have inked a deal with Los Angeles-based indie label Epitaph Records, joining fellow recent signees New Found Glory and Bring Me The Horizon.

"One of our biggest concerns was that we find a situation where we could be free to just be Thursday," explains Thursday frontman, Geoff Rickly. "Epitaph have continually voiced their desire to help us become the band that we have always wanted to be. It's a great feeling to have a label encourage you to be more socially conscious and politically active. It's a great feeling to have a label owner push you to explore the most experimental and challenging aspects of your band's music instead of dissuading you. It's a truly great feeling to be working with a label that all of our friends have had so many great experiences with."

The New Jersey sextet, who are releasing a split album with Tokyo's Envy on Nov. 4, will release their fifth proper full-length this spring on Epitaph. There is no confirmation on who the band will record with yet.

"We've always believed that music has the power to change lives and that all of us who have been lucky enough to make music for a living have a responsibility to try and make the world a more compassionate and livable place in any small way that they can," Rickly adds. "We hope that with Epitaph's help and guidance, we can do our part."

Dear Thursday,

Plz don't get too political or I won't enjoy listening to you as much, even if I agree with what you're saying. K? Looove you.

- Liz
