I think the only good thing that's going to come out of this movie is seeing Robert Pattinson shirtless. However, he's looking decidedly shabby presenting that award. Taylor Lautner, however, looked good.

After a long and hard battle, one of the ladies in my office succumbed to breast cancer on August 4, 2009. She was barely in her 30's. Kam was a bright, caring and inspirational individual and she will be missed.

A group of us at work have signed up to participate in the CIBC Run for the Cure taking place on October 4, 2009 at Nathan Philips Square in downtown Toronto. We signed up while Kam was still alive and now that she's gone, it makes the walk/run so much more meaningful. I regret that it had to take the death of someone we know personally before we took action.

Each individual on my team is required to raise at least $150. I would like to blow past that and raise as much as I can. Please show your support by donating whatever you'd like, whatever you can. I would be grateful to you even if you donated just one dollar - every dollar takes me closer to my fundraising goal. But as an added incentive: EACH PERSON THAT DONATES $25 OR MORE WILL RECEIVE AN 8x10 COMMISSION-STYLE ARTWORK. I am not above bribery. :P Nor am I above using Dumbledore quotes to equate solidarity with breast cancer.

Has anyone ever done one of those Run for the Cure type things for breast cancer? I signed up with a bunch of girls from my work and we're doing the CIBC Run for the Cure in October. I was just curious to see if anyone's done it before, how it was and how best to go about getting donations / monetary support. Door to door? Family members? I can't go to work people because they're doing the same.

Our CEO was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago and it went into remission. But it came back in a more aggressive form in January. She passed away last week. She was one of the nicest, fairest and strongest individuals I knew. She touched so many lives; the chapel was packed with people for her funeral a few days ago. It was heartbreaking to see and speak to her husband and parents. She was only in her early 30's. Rest in peace, KK.

He starts to learn that not everyone is out to get him. Age not specified but Jared and Chris are their final year at high school, it’s Jensen’s first year as a doctor, Steve’s a bit older still.

Not being much of a reader/writer/reviewer, all I can say is that I really liked it. ♥ For the art, I drew two things from the story and I made a cover for it. My apologies for my not so top-notch graphic making skillz.

Hello Friends!

It's been a little over a month since I last updated and people seem to be defriending me at an alarming rate. I guess one needs to be social if they want to keep their friends, right? :P I'm totally not good at being social. I really need to enter the land of livejournal again, especially since hp_art_xchange and other things are falling behind. But on a good note, I'm making good progress on my spn_j2_bigbang and snarry_games entries!

WHO HAS SEEN HBP?!?! PLEASE TO TELL ME ALL ABOUT IT FOR I CANNOT SEE IT UNTIL TOMORROW NIGHT. This will be the first time I miss an HP movie on opening night and I am sad.
