Demi Lovato stepped out to The Hollywood Reporter’s 22nd Annual Women In Entertainment breakfast at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA on Wednesday morning (December 11th). The event, which celebrated the 100 most powerful women in the industry, named Anne Sweeney, co-chairman of Disney Media Networks and president of Disney/ABC Television Group to the top spot on their Power 100 list. In addition to honoring the Power 100, Oprah Winfrey was presented with the Sherry Lansing Award for leadership.
Also on the program was a presentation on THR’s Hollywood Mentorship program, which “pairs some of the industry’s leading women with underprivileged high school students, all of whom will also receive $10,000 scholarships to the colleges of their choice,” according to THR’s website. Demi was on hand not only to honor the incredible women in the room but to surprise two of the mentees with the news that they were each awarded four-year, full-ride scholarships to Loyola Marymount University. The estimated value? $200,000 each. Incredible!
