My posts have been pretty silly so far, just funny things I decide to share. I don't like drama and people who post sad depressing things. I bitch about things but I like it keep it fun. I work as a nanny and I am also a paraprofessional, that means I work with disabled children for anyone who doesn't know that term. Most people look at me like, "So you...do...what?" I do have a lot of tattoos and I have an artsy-fartsy streak that's sort of been put on hold for now. I was in school trying to become an art teacher but it'll be a while before I force myself to go back and spend the money. If we become friends I will keep up with your posts in my free time and respond with witty little comments. I would like people with interests like mine. I do not want someone that listens to The Beatles while I listen to Devildriver. It's just unfair to both and an essential wtf and I love getting/giving music recommendations. My last.fm I would like journals that are not bombared by mems every single day. It is annoying, and I frankly enjoy reading about people's lives and their encounters, emotions, muses, etc. Something that keeps me intrigued. I talk about anything that comes to mind. Sometimes I bring up debates or ask certain opinions on a subject to broaden my own. Though repetitive talk of alcholism, infestion of drug use and sexual experiences WILL annoy me in which sends me into an irritable state. I have no life as of yet. Just going to school, and looking for that wonderous job that I have not yet attained. Essentially I'm up for daily conversations with people who have no life either, or are just bored. Everyone on my Livejournal list is amazing. Even if they do not comment on my journal often, I comment on theirs. I always have something to say. I'm your typical female. Living in NYC at 18, Videogamer, Artist, Watcher of Anime, etc. I'm not obsessed with anything. I thought I was until now lol. Only thing I've probably been fairly interested with my whole life is fashion, and Metal Gear Solid along with the interests in my profile. Humanities ftw? Yes indeed. I want people that I can learn from. Yes, LEARN FROM. Not some mindless boob. And if you are not going to respect my opinion on subjects of debate, or the opinions of others in my journal, do not even bother adding me or even commenting. The worst thing one can do is be a retard for someone stating their honest opinion. Whoever reads my journal, I expect them to say whatever they would like to say. Judge me how you like because guess what? You do not know me in reality~ If dislike me as well, remove me. I respect the removal rather than keeping someone on your list in whom has no interest to you, it leads to annoyance. No time wasted correct? Add me first please, and 18 or older. I haven't posted here in at least three months or something to that effect, so I decided to try my luck again. My friends page has been consumed by communities entirely and this is not a good state. I'm twenty, female and live in Germany currently. At the moment I work for an art gallery which is really exciting because I get to be pretentious and it's actually somewhat legit since I do work in the field. I'm also an artist myself but I never take pictures of my work. Not necessarily because I'm wary of what the internet might have to say, though. Totally lied there. Initially, I wanted to be a full-time scientist (nothing beats cleaning out Petri dishes for three months in a row), but I took a marketing class at college and they said that diversification is really the way forward so apart from my current job at the art gallery, I work at a hotline for people who feel the need to complain, make music with or without my band and practice guerilla gardening all over town. Clearly, I'm an asshole about the music, films and TV series I enjoy but I wouldn't tell you so this isn't of much relevance. When I'm not working, I enjoy really sour lemonade, long walks on the beach, as well as interacting with my intellectually incredibly stimulating friends of whom I have many. Yesterday I counted four so this is an achievement. Ignorance is not cool and spelling correctly is not optional so please keep this in mind. Some people need visuals, so here goes. Wanted : People Who Don't Suck. However, the bulk of responses I usually received were from comment-grubbing attention whores who posted 1,000 pictures a day and expected everyone to flood them with compliments. Hopefully I won't experience the same thing this time.  Anyway, I'm a 22-year-old guy who recently graduated from college with degrees in Psychology and History. I guess you could say I'm smart? I'd like to think so anyway. I'm looking for cool people who are also smart. In other words - I don't want to associate with people who treat the English language as though it's an abusive parent on whom they are seeking revenge. I have recently finished a college certificate (Event Management) and less recently a BA (French Major, Sociology Minor). I am very interested in many subjects including most Ologies. I also get a kick at having friends on the internet all over the world. My LJ has been around for about five years, which I started right after a huge event in my life. I broke up with my then fiance and decided that I had alot going for me. I have spent the past five years healing from such and ordeal, and done a lot of that via livejournal. It may look like I don't have alot of entries, but it did something and eventually I did move on with my life. I finished my degree, started dating again and have actually taken a big step in that I am currently in a serious relationship with a man (and his cat :P) and the three of us live together in a little apartment. It's been two months at this place and we appear to be making it work. I work at the Canadian Museum of Civalizations doing security. This museum is primarily about the history of peoples in this country. I get a kick out of working at museums, however, I don't see myself there for too long. I'm currently searching for a job in the Event Mangement field (either working for an event planner or a large organization) so if you have any leads anywhere in Canada feel free to throw them my way. I'm currently contemplating a move, and what I want to be doing in five years. Another source of great pride for me is that I try to be as 'green' as possible. My name's Cynthia and I'm 26. I'm from Virginia but I'm currently living in Maryland while I serve in a 10 month volunteer service program called AmeriCorps...it's just like a domestic Peace Corps. I have a semester left of school to get my bachelors in psychology, which I'll finish up the first of next year. I write about my everyday life and my opinions on anything and everything in my journal.
