Scene numbers? [ October 4th, 2008 • 3:39pm ] broadway [milliedillmount] [ mood | busy ] [ music | "Where's My Shoe?," She Loves Me, in my head ] I'm in charge of typing and formatting the program for my school's upcoming Opera Scenes Workshop, and we're doing scenes from Mozart operas in the first half and then some from musicals in the second half. For Mozart, I'm listing the act and scene numbers (example, for Le nozze di Figaro, Act III, Scene 10 for the "Che soave zeffiretto" duettino and its preceding recitative), but for the musical theatre, since I don't have the scripts or libretti for the musical theatre scenes, I'm not quite sure what to do about scene numbers. We're doing - West Side Story: "Maria" and "Tonight (Balcony Scene") - She Loves Me: "I Don't Know His Name"; "Where's My Shoe?" "Vanilla Ice Cream" and "She Loves Me" (Amalia in the first act scene is different from the second act scenes Amalia) - Titanic: "The Proposal"/"The Night Was Alive" Would anyone be able to supply the scene numbers? I know Wikipedia lists the acts and scenes of each musical, but there aren't scene numbers. 0 comments | reply | edit | memory

I also thought it was really cool some of the OBC was there! I can't wait til they tour Boston, it would be so cool to see Anthony and Adam perform it! News from the Australian production [ October 1st, 2008 • 5:58pm ] wickedmusical [katherine_b] [ mood | distressed ] Rob Guest, who plays the Wizard in the Melbourne production of Wicked, is critically ill in hospital after suffering a major stroke. Updates and discussion with other fans can be found at wicked_aus or here (the actual discussion thread). Guest is also know as the longest-serving Phantom in PotO (more than 2,000 performances) and he has been in Les Mis and many other productions. [ September 29th, 2008 • 9:50am ] rent [cindylou07] I went to the movie showing of the final performance on saturday. It was really beautiful and I'm so sad to see Rent go off broadway. At the end when the orginal cast came out and sang with the current cast, I didn't see Adam, Idina or Taye. Does anyone know why they weren't there? Or did I just miss them?
