THE MIGHTY HALLOWEEN OVERHALL [05 Oct 2008|04:00pm] a7x [lovelickhump] New DVD, new look, new hair for Johnny (and lack thereof for Matt) and new figure for Zacky, all of which must equate to a new layout! This one doesn't work too great, let's face it. In my browser it's dandy, but on every other computer in the land it's a piece of stretchy shit. Plus we need something that will accommodate alternate image widths and S2 styling. If that's all gibberish to you, don't worry, I'm the chick who's gonna be fixing that shiz up. BUT... I am also the chick with all the graphic design capabilities of a doily. SO, if you're a whizz with Photoshop, or you know someone who is, and you have the time and passion for A7X@LJ to help us out, get those creative juices flowing now! What do I have to design exactly? What we're looking for is a header, approximately 780x400 pixels, in any style, colour, theme or design (but hopefully involving the boys). The words 'A7X@LJ' may be present on the graphic, but it's not a direct requirement. How do I submit it? Any designer may enter as many times as they like, with the graphic submitted in URL FORM (aka, uploaded to Photobucket/Tinypic/ImageShack/etc) via email to j.passey@yahoo.com with 'A7X HEADER' in the subject line. How will the eventual header be chosen? All entries will be placed, anonymously, in a post on which all members can vote for their favourite. What will I get in return? First place will be the official A7X@LJ header until our next overhall (so try to keep it neutral -- while Halloween themed layouts are great, they're only accurate once a year!). Second place will be shrunk down and used as the profile graphic in the userinfo. All entrants will receive HQ image emailed to them in return (because we all like free shiny high quality stuff), as well as a graphic with their name on it celebrating their good sportsmanship, to place in their own userinfo. I can't do layouts - but I'd still like to help. Good, because we still need you to tell us which headers you'd like to see on your community. A7X@LJ can't survive without your input. We'd also like you to comment here, telling us what you'd like to see in the community and the layout. Do you like the Youtube videos in the sidebar, or would you like them to fuck off? Are there any sites you think would like to affiliate? How can we make things better for you guys? Let us know! I'd also like to take this time to be fucking preachy. We all know that A7X are a band that care a lot about charity. They always donate what they can, when they can, even going so far as to offer up their own vocalist... So I'm sure Canvases For Cures would be a cause they'd support whole heartedly. Following the themes of art and music, it's a group of kids from LJ who have decided to make a true difference, doing what they love most. Rescheduled Canadian dates [02 Oct 2008|04:35pm] a7x [_weetziebat_] The canceled Montreal show has been rescheduled for December 16 and the Quebec City show will be on December 15. [01 Oct 2008|11:36am] a7x [missymoshpit] Photo Shoot Out 2 Brickfish This is a picture I took of Syn during the 2008 Taste Of Chaos show at Gwinnett Arena outside of Atlanta, GA back in March. I entered it into a photo contest to win a $1,000 scholarship to go towards a Show Production & Touring degree (i.e. sound engineering, lighting design, tour management, etc.) and if any of you could take the few seconds and click that green vote button up there I would GREATLY appreciate it.
