Project 365 In Drawings - Day 10 [21 Aug 2008|02:38am] illustrators [dyosa] August 20, 2008 "Free Hugs" Poster Paint + Ink On Paper Sometimes a hug is all you really need. :) Since I had a delay in uploading Day 9, I figured, why not try to compensate by making a painting? So here's my 10th day installment, something I haven't done in a while. And it's in full technicolor too. BTW, I used inappropriate paper for this! If you could see the real thing, the paper's as thin as onion skin already, because I made too many washes. Tsk tsk. Learned my lesson. Now gimme that hug. tell

Either that, or this drawing is too damn weird. **** Sorry for the delay, I couldn't find my card reader! This is just one of those drawings that just leads from one thing to another. I drew a girl, decided to make her half and half, then i can't decide what pose she was going to make, so I ended up thinking, what if she grew from the ground? Then came an idea about how people are essentially similar. Sure we have different personalities, and backgrounds but we experience the same things--love, pain, anger, anxiety; we're living in the same universe, and are under the same fucked up ozone layer. So here it is, one awfully weird drawing. tell

"Tiger Haven 2008" [20 Aug 2008|12:59am] illustrators [eselgeist] ~12"x12". gouache, pencil. This is the cd label for this years charity mix album to benefit the Tiger Haven animal sanctuary. Each year sumatrae has put this together and I've been lucky enough to have been asked to make the circular label design. It's painted on an old palette. I keep them if they are interesting or look useful :) The surface isn't porous like paper or wood, it's like painting on a kitchen countertop. Which means that the image is particularly fragile and will just wipe right off :P Those of you keeping score might recognize that I did just that. This used to be the "Zora" image I made for homework in my experimental class. I wet my hand and wiped the older image into a smudge and reworked it into this one :) I'll be spraying it with polyurethane to seal it. Doop! You know what, 10 aren't just enough! [19 Aug 2008|10:55pm] n0nc0nf0rmist Okay I'm doing another set of 10 Turn Offs because andami kong naisip ulit pagkagising ko! So here we go again... List down 10 major Turn-Offs when dating the opposite sex.  Then tag 10 people you want to do the same. Tactless boys. Well tactless people in general. But usually it's tactless boys who say this to me... "Uy tumaba ka!" Pakyu! Kung di lang ako mabait, baka binalatan na kita eh! I swear man, no matter how true it is, wag mo na lang ibanggit dude! Pramis everytime someone tells me that, bumababa self esteem ko pramis. Yung mga killjoy. I dunno, I'm a pretty adventurous person and I'm always up for anything new. Hence all these culinary stuff, bboying, popping and locking, teaching, meeting new friends. So if a guy's with me tas yayayain ko siyang gawin ang isang something and then he's not willing to try it out, wala. Corny na ang araw. Uwi na lang tayo. Guys, remember grade school? We had a subject called GMRC? Well it was taught to us for a reason. If you have bad eating habits, I will notice that. If you chew with your mouth open, I will notice that. If you don't fold your utensils after you eat, I will notice that. And I do not like that. Another thing about GMRC. Did God stop breeding Gentlemen?! Scarce na yung guys who offer their seats to women. Very evident sa MRT. At may pa-tulog tulog pa silang nalalaman so that they don't need to give up their seats! And yung for example, guy and girl approaching each other tapos the way is narrow. Aba at gusto pang mauna ng guy! Kaya ako talagang binabangga ko yung lalaki if he does that kind of crap to me. LADIES FIRST GAGO! I hate lying boys. Ako kasi, I'm a very trusting person, and whatever you tell me, I believe you, no matter how bogus it may sound. But if I find out that it was all a lie, ewan ko na lang. Masakit ha. Ay eto eto eto! Guys who burp! EWWWWWW. Please reserve the belching contest for your male buds. Tas ang mas malupet is after they burp, I instantly know kung anong kinain nila for breakfast or lunch. EWWWWWW You are a boy. I am a girl. You are supposed to be the independent one. I'm supposed to be the dependent one. I may seem so anti-feminist right now but I kinda like it the old fashioned way. Well being able to stand on our own while still choosing to be together is the best way to go right? That's why if a guy depends on me too much for something, OR EVERYTHING! I really know that I gotta bolt! I do not like role reversal. Values mean everything to me. It means everything to my family. In referrence to the No Ambition turn off, ang pamatay talaga na combination would be someone who doesn't know the value of hard work! I will testify that most of the rags to riches stories are all about hard work. Thou shall not control. I will rebel. Only my parents have the right to make bawal this and bawal that because that is their job. And even I disobey them sometimes. Pessimistic people are such a huge turn-off! Reklamo lang ng reklamo, they don't do anything about it naman. People who don't try to see the positive side of things just suck. Literally. They suck the joy out of things. There are such things as blessings in disguise. I don't like people talaga who bring bad vibes to the world by focusing on the negative stuff. Ayan. Wala. Rules- lj cuts & rude commenters, stealing & hotlinking [19 Aug 2008|05:50pm] t_shirt_surgery [i_live_4_tetris] PLEASE READ! hello! i hope everyone has been enjoying the summer weather and have been using the free time to do some awesome t shirt surgeries! there are some rules and other things that i wanted to discuss, so that we can keep this a place a friendly one where we can share our creations and meet new people. 1st-, LJ-Cuts and Rude Commenters Most people have been doing well with using an lj-cut when appropriate, but once in a while sometimes someone forgets to use one, or the code doesn't work, or whatever... and then everyone flips out that a lj-cut hasn't been use and 5+ people leave comments about it and they are sooo rude!-THIS IS WHAT ANNOYS ME MOST! if someone needs to use a lj-cut, ONE person can just simply comment "please use a lj-cut." if someone already left a comment about it, then just leave it alone- they will eventually fix it when they get the message. if there are 2 or more comments on the entry about using an lj-cut, the commenters will get a strike. 3 strikes, you're out of here. the following are rules of when you should use an lj-cut in this community.  If you’re posting more than two pictures, please use the lj-cut tag If your picture is bigger than 550px X 550px, please use the lj-cut tag If you don't know what a lj-cut is, or how to use one, the following link will give you an explanation- How do I hide part of my entry behind a link?
