Yeah, I know. It's about as cliche as one can get with their first video game but it's the truth. And I wouldn't have had it any other way. These games, Mario in-particular, entertained me for hours on end. I couldn't get enough of Super Mario Bros. to the point where my parents deemed it necessary to limit my video game play time to weekends only. I can still play Super Mario Bros. to this day and still have just as much fun as I had with it when I was a kid. It's pretty amazing at just how well this game holds up all these years later. So is it cliche? Yes. But there's a reason why so many people played this game first. It was just that good.
