It is easier to half-do a thousand things rather than being a master in one field."     Hi, I'm Claire. I'm whiney, neurotic, competitive and full of hormones. My journal is mostly devoted to incoherent noises about pretty things on a screen, with about a pinch of real life to convince you I don't live in a box. I am at college studying my AS levels and I mostly spend my days wishing they had 36 hours: I have too many interests and too little time. My biggest interest is aviation, something which generally fascinates me and plays an important part in my life, hopefully my dream of becoming an airline pilot will one day be accomplished. I plan on spending my entire summer slaving away, which will hopefully allow me to invest in more flying lessons. Horray! Next year, if I survive up to A2, I will be off to university somewhere or another. I am a strong conservative believer, if you don't like that, fine, piss off. However, I will not attempt to brainwash readers of this journal into voting conservatives using subliminal messages, but I'll often give you lots of advice. Taxing the rich is unfair and immigration in this country needs to be controlled. Unfortunately, I am unable to vote, so I like to think that my time is used beneficially by standing up for what I believe is correct and not shutting up until I get my own way. Hence, debates involving myself usually go on forever - if you happen to be as stubborn as myself. My family & friends are the most important thing to me, equally with my exams. My spare time recently consists of copious amounts of alcohol with my hyperactive and hilarious group of friends, in which its inhabitants are constantly omnisexual, drinking, arguing, fighting, portraying the universe in a grain of sand and then setting about putting it to rights. My life at the moment does not spare enough time for one of those things otherwise known as a boyfriend. Coinsidentally, for whatever reason, I fail to appeal to boys. (Hoping this doesn't sound somewhat 'not right'). The reasons likely being that I am too much of a perfectionist. I'd like somebody who I could withstand a debate with for hours; I like to feel understood; I like boys who respect girls; I like intelligence; I hate attention seekers; I hate boys otherwise known as players; I hate males who associate everything with sex; I like boys who I could bring home; I hate corniness although I like compliments; I like confidence; determination; power, and somebody who is generally fun to be around. As well as the above, they should not be as stubborn as myself (as that would most definitely not work), and they should be able to tolerate my monthly mood-swings (otherwise known as menstruation). They should also like me just as much as I like them (which never occurs). So if anyone at the end of this long and self-indulgent list, is still interested in me, an engagement ring from Boodle and Dunthrone (or any other ludicrously expensive jeweller). Apart from my non-so-secret fascination with aviation, and a tendency to ramble on about politics from time to time, at the opposite end of the interest spectrum, I am some what obsessed with Liverpool Football Club, especially my ultimate favourite player, Luis Garcia. In addition to this, I'm a confirmed skeptic, so you may occasionally see some of my rants about what I consider to be the absurd, as well as about general gullibility. Now that I have tried my best not to look like a brainless bimbo, I have to admit that my major interest is perving shamelessy over hot boys. Yes, I'm addicted to perving (with nothing else wanted), and I can't help but think that's a good thing! As for music, I love pretty much everything, especially Coldplay. Oh my god, oh my god! I also like Oasis, The Verve, Keane, Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol and the odd pop song and dance music. Please note: This page will likely not be updated until next year knowing me - so by the time you actually have the opportunity to read this, the above groups are probably what you may refer to as "out". For this I deeply apologise :) I love science, reading, writing and almost all sports, especially football, swimming and judo as well as the great British soaps (excluding Emmerdale). I do have a sense of humour and I do not take myself seriously, so you shouldn't either. Oh yes, unfortunatly I am not a fan of Stargate, Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter, and I will not join your 'rate my pretty face' communities, thank you very much. My journal is friends-only. This is not due to an overwhelming exciting life that I need to keep behind bars for fears of inciting jealousy (although I wish it was), but rather because it makes me feel more comfortable to have control over who reads my entries. Discretion is often the better part of valour, and I'm not known for my subtley. My posts are generally a combination of some well-worn themes. There are college-rated whines, complains about family-related woes, mostly my parents and a general rambling about anything and everything, as well as the shameless perviness. In fact, thinking about it, most of my posts end with me getting all fangirly over my "squee of the moment." My journal is not for the faint-hearted, so if you are homophobic and/or easily offended by strong language and other peoples point of views, keep out. Don't bother judging either, as I am not forcing you to read my journal. This livejournal doesn't have anything except comments about my days and other ramblings when I am trying not to work. So, if you've found your way here in the hope of reading about some stranger's life, then you won't be pleased by this. Go and visit one of my friends *points* I enjoy comments, so feel free to say hello and join the madness. Feel free to add me (without that sounding desperate), as I'll most likely add you back, as long as you aren't [name insterted here] who enjoys deliberately stalking teenage girls, giving them the jeepers creepers. On the other-hand, if you're an Evertonian who is unable to spell or punctuate correctly and is generally a little stupid, perhaps you should not add me to your friends list. I also despise ignorance, bigotry and closed-mindendess. Additionally, if your journal is specifically used to keep count of the number of beds you've hopped into - again, no thank you. But for everyone else, welcome aboard. Unfortunatly, I don't often realise that somebody's added me unless they leave a comment, for I am silly and unobservant like this. Please don't be grevioucly offended if I don't add you back - I have extremely important exams to revise for and hence, I do not have a lot of free time. Similarly, defriend if you like, as I won't be offended in the least.
