Saturday was the first football game of the season and my first football game ever (UT vs. UAB). I went into the game with high expectations of a really exciting, fun experience...and left very disappointed.
Ok, so it was pretty amazing to be in a stadium with 106,999 other people. The band was excellent. Our seats were great. But that's where the fun ended.
This was a mid-day game (which I hear is unusual), and it was extremely hot. We just happened to be surrounded by drunk students who spent the game fighting with each other, bumping into us, and shouting profanities. By the middle of the 1st quarter, I was ready to go home. We did end up leaving at the beginning of the 4th quarter because one of the girls I was with got really sick because of the heat.
So, definitely a disappointing experience. I certainly don't plan to go to another game, unless it's a night game & I'm with a bigger group.
We did beat UAB 17 to 10.

Sarah and I were at Silver Screen watching Batman Begins on Saturday, right?
I am leaning forward in my chair, I guess because of intensity of the current scene. I finally lean back and "FEEL" someone directly behind my head. Look furtively back and a scrawny drinking drunk dude is standing there like 4 inches from my head.
Eeeewwwww!
He leers for a moment, then I turned around and leaned forward again.
Too close for comfort!

You really aren't out of the loop, seriously...
You don't worry Brooke, you really aren't out of the loop, not too many people got to know about it 'cause it really wasn't anything and it sure didn't last long enough for it to be called something. I know that you are gonna laugh so hard when I tell you later who it was...trust me, you will. It was not the best decision I've ever made...and it came at a time that I wasn't really thinking about much. So, anyway, I'll explain it to you later sometime. You'll get a good laugh.
