Bio"Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you"
My name's Rebecca, but everyone calls me Becca. I'm an 18 year old girl with brown eyes. I live in Yorkshire with my mum, step-dad and younger brother. I'm a real homebody. I was such a daddy's girl when I was little. I count my mum as one of my best friends. I love my family to bits, but I seem to take them for granted sometimes. One of my New Year's Resolutions for 2005 was to make more of an effort to see my family more often. I adore my friends too. I'm so thankful for each and every one of them; they're all amazing and special in their own ways. I would do anything for those I care about. <3
I'm in love with Ian. He's everything I ever wanted, and more. He's my life <3
I'm sensitive, emotional and sentimental. I worry sometimes about things that are out of my control. I'm clumsy and have possibly the least common sense of anyone I know. I laugh a lot and I find the silliest little things absolutely hilarious.
I want to study English at university next month. I want to be a teacher and have the amazing opportunity to show others the power of education, and how it can shape their lives. I want to influence others to follow their dreams and be happy. I want to see children grow and develop in front of my eyes and know that I've helped them. Failing that, I'd like to go into journalism and be all high-powered and glamorous :-)
I love to shop, but only when I have loads of money to spend! Window shopping isn't really my thing. I love the styles of Mischa Barton and Sienna Miller. I wish I could pull off some of the things they wear, but I'm more of a down-to-earth high street gal myself.
I love acting, and I owe a lot to drama. Pursuing the subject at GCSE and A level has helped me immensely in combatting my shyness, helping me to interact with people and be more confident. I love reading, and The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky is my favourite book in the world.
My musical interests span a variety of genres. I love Justin Timberlake, The Beatles, James Blunt, Natalie Imbruglia, Jem, KT Tunstall, Coldplay, The Beach Boys, Basement Jaxx, Snoop Dogg, Athlete, The Killers, Snow Patrol, Razorlight and those great golden oldies.
I am in awe of the talents of Nicole Kidman, Scarlett Johannson and Tom Hanks. I love dramas and arty/indie type films, like Lost In Translation, Kill Bill, Girl Interrupted and American Beauty. But you can't beat a good old chick flick like Dirty Dancing.
As much as I'm excited by the prospect of living on my own and being independent, it also scares the living daylights out of me. Part of me doesn't want to grow up, but another part can't wait.
