Last night I went to visit an old friend, and when I came home this was hanging on my living room wall. Phil had painted it while I was gone. :) Isn't it lovely!?

So summer school is going well, I mean I only have two classes, so how bad could it be! Public Speaking is a really fun class, except for the times when I have to actually do some public speaking. :)
Everything is pretty much in place for me to transfer to USF. I still need to get my shot records, and pay for parking. Nothing difficult. I also need to take the GKT (General Knowledge Test), so that in the Spring I can get into the College of Education.
Not sure if I posted this here, but I got a scholarship for the next four years or for however long it takes to finish my BA. I was one of 10 people transferring into USF from all over the country to win this. It's pretty exciting. I got a fancy letter and everything.
I'm all registered for my first semester at USF, and it's not a very cool schedule. Here it is:
MWF
10:45 - 11:35 American Studies (history course)
12:55 - 1:45 Intro to Education (required for college of edu)
T/TH
8:00-9:15am Basic Economics (required for college of edu)
Internet
World Regional Geography (required for college of edu)
Not too happy about the 8am class, but it was the best professor available. It was either that or on Saturday for like 3 hours. No thanks! At least after that class I have the rest of the day off, and I can hit the gym right after it.
Other than school I'm taking on the title of Business Owner. I'm going to be part owner of Tampa Bay Allstars with a man who has been like a wonderful, amazing, gay uncle to me and a good friend of mine from back in high school. It's pretty exciting, and I'm ready to bust my ass to make it a success. Being part owner is going to be really fun I think. Also, probably stressful. This will also eventually be a second income for when I'm teaching, especially over summer vacations.
Phil and I recently spent a week celebrating our 5 year anniversary. Yeah that's right, a week! lol We woke up every day and told each other, "Happy Anniversary Week!" We're nerds, but we sure are happy nerds!
In the book world! I'm steady reading and reviewing books, you can check out my other blog Brooke Reviews for all that fun stuff! htt://reviewsbybrooke.blogspot.com :)
I'm currently on my 68th book of the year. It's look like I'll be well over my 100 book goal for the year. :)

For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf--her wolf--is a chilling presence she can't seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human . . . until the cold makes him shift back again.
Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human--or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.

My BFF sure knows how to get my creativity flowing:
B says:
i went to walk the dogs earlier
and there was a mouse
or a rat
or a baby opossum hanging out by the front door
jovy says:
or what eelse?
any other possibilities?
B says:
hm
tiny alien
crabwolf
a giant overfilled leech
with feet
jovy says:
i thought that said tim allen
B says:
ha
maybe it was him
you never know when tim allen is just going to show up in miniature form on your door step
On another note, I have to give a speech on Monday about and object/event/people/things/lifeforms that represent me as a person. Ya know, I'd rather talk about anything but myself. That is just one topic to me, that is so boooring! I could always say three things that represent me are tiny aliens, crabwolves, and giant overfilled leeches with feet. Teachers probably never heard that before.

That's me! Total slacker. On school work, reading, writing, reviewing. ha I need someone to snap me out of it. I see it's a problem with a lot of people these days though. Must be the change in weather!
February is a short month, but that's no excuse for the small amount of books I read.
Here's the list:
Shakespear's Landlord - Charlaine Harris
Shakespear's Champion - Charlaine Harris
Demon Inside and Out - Jason Jeffrey
Wired - Liz Maverick
Shakespear's Christmas - Charlaine Harris
Say the Word - Jeannine Garsee
Lord of Misrule - Rachel Caine
Pride - Rachel Vincent
I've already got that many for March, so I'm doing better. February just sucked!
:)
Also, I posted some thoughts on White Witch, Black Curse by Kim Harrison on my other blog. You can read that here: http://reviewsbybrooke.blogspot.com/
Also #2, there is 38 minutes left to enter my contest at the same blog! Make sure you go enter! :)
