What would you wear with this dress?
Accessorizing has never been my strong suit.
eta: If you were going to wear a cardigan with it, what color cardigan would you choose?

| Queen Amy and King Adam do something regarding a show y'all are too young to remember |
[05/19/13] |

In October, Adam Scott and Jon Hamm brought the world something called "The Greatest Event in Television History." That amazing bit of TV turned out to be a shot-for-shot remake of the "Simon & Simon" opening credits.
Of course there has to be a follow-up. The next "Greatest Event in Television History" will air on June 6 -- and it will focus on the classic TV show, "Hart to Hart." And Amy Poehler will co-star with Scott this time.
( Fuck yeah, 80's mystery showsCollapse )
Here's the Simon & Simon one. A.J. Simon could get it. I used to watch the fuck out of this show, Hart to Hart, Knight Rider, Magnum PI, all that good shit.

| new Kaizers Orchestra music video |
[05/18/13] |
Before the Norwegian band disbands this week, watch a creepily infectious video for its song "Begravelsespolka."
For the past few days I've been unable to get this song by Norway's Kaizers Orchestra out of my head. Blending rock, opera, Balkan music, and a kind of alt-cabaret to great effect, the ensemble's "Begravelsespolka," or "Funeral Polka," is a brilliant, if unholy love child of Cabaret, the Dresden Dolls, and perhaps a bit of filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan.
( akkurat på denne måtenCollapse )
just an excuse to post some kaizers on here. saw them in nyc two days ago and they killed it. posted a few extra videos behind the cut for those who haven't heard of them/want to hear more. haters of the norwegian language can stay out imo

| Prince Royce - “All The Girls Tell Me I Do Well With The Kisses!” |

In case you were wondering: Prince Royce is a really good kisser. He told us: “I think I do well with kisses! I think it’s the big lips.” Needles to say, Royce is a king among frogs.
Let’s talk about La Voz Kids. How has your experience been so far on the show?
It’s been great! At first it was a little weird. I didn’t really see myself as a mentor or coach for anybody but myself. Since I started my career, I’ve always judged my own music. Now I get to coach these kids that have the same dream and the same goal as I did when I was about 14. It’s really a lot of fun, and it’s very emotional — it’s hard to make these decisions because I know how important they are to these kids.
Who’s your favorite Latina judge — Shakira or Christina Aguilera?
I got to say Shakira! I think Shakira has impressed a lot of people. Personally, I’ve gotten to see another side of Shakira while she was on The Voice. I think she’s doing a great job, and she really is representing our culture.
So let’s talk about your new albums. Right now, I’m actually in the studio. We’re planning on releasing my Spanish language album—my third bachata album in the fall of this year, so definitely new music coming sooner rather than later! For the English one, we’re expecting a release for the third half of 2014. The music has been coming out great — I’m just so proud of the work that I’ve been doing and the people I’ve been working with!
Lets go through your firsts! Do you remember your first crush? My first crush was in elementary school. I don’t remember her name anymore — actually I don’t even remember her face anymore [laughs].
What about your first kiss? It was in junior high school. I think I do well with kisses! [laughs]. All the girls have told me that I do well with the kisses — I think it’s the big lips. Thank God, right?
First time you used your singing skills to get a girl? It was in sixth grade. I remember I used to always sing an Usher’s “U Remind Me.” I would always sing that song to the girls I liked. It was my go-to.
And did it work? It definitely did—it still does! [laughs]
Latina Magazine chose you again as one of our hot guys of the year. How does it feel? I’ve never really looked at myself as a sex symbol, and I know that recently I’ve just kind of become that, but it feels good to be known as a handsome dude. When it comes to fashion, I try to always be on point. I’m definitely shouting out to all the beautiful and sexy women who read Latina!
LATINA
okay y'all, when was your first kiss & bestest kiss?

| First Look at Hi-Res Final Fantasy VIII for PC |
[05/18/13] |

Square Enix launched Final Fantasy 7 International for PC in Japan on Thursday and announced that a high-definition PC remaster of Final Fantasy 8 is also in the works.
Final Fantasy 8 was released for the original PlayStation console and Windows computers in 1999 and 2000, respectively.
The game follows the temperamental Squall and his love-interest, Rinoa, as they try to stop an evil sorceress from the future.
Square Enix officially announced the high-resolution PC remaster of Final Fantasy 7 last year. The remaster brings the International version PCs in Japan for the first time. The game features a 5-speed mode for quicker playthroughs, achievements, exclusive Shinra avatars, and high-resolution compatibility. (Final Fantasy 7 International for PC retails for 1,000 yen, or about US$10.)
The release date for the HD version of Final Fantasy 8 is yet to be announced; whether or not the game will have additional content is also currently unknown.

| Help me, TQC, you're my only hope |
[05/18/13] |
I was just outside taking the catsand to the trash and discovered that the rain has brought the slugs out!! Hundreds and hundreds of horrible, horrible slugs. It's storming right now, but tomorrow night I'm going to have a Slug Pickin' Party -- picking them off wherever/whatever they're on and dropping them into a bag of water with some soap in it.
But I'll need something to cheer me up while I'm doing it, because even though I wear nitrile gloves while I do it, it's so ICKY YUCK YUCK EWWWW to pick a big one up and feel it squirm and wriggle!
So what are some happy thoughts to think? Or if you can't think of any, what would be a more fun way to kill slugs? (I use SlugGo but apparently this is a new hatching.... ick.)

| Ashley Hamilton Opens Up About Suffering From Anorexia & Bulimia! |

The 38-year-old son of George Hamilton has had more than his fair share of troubles when it came to drug and alcohol abuse. After staying sober for more than six years and getting his career back on track, Hamilton found that he still had one serious problem that needed attention.
"I suffered from bulimia and anorexia," he tells PEOPLE about the eating disorder he's had since he was a teenager. "I believe it was my problem before I got into drugs and alcohol. I used the drugs and alcohol to control the food addiction."
Within the past year Hamilton sought treatment for his disorder, which he admits he still struggles with.
"I don't have it perfect now. I've been free from bulimia for years but I still struggle with food, restricting or overeating. That's been the hardest for me in sobriety," he admits that during his years at Beverly Hills High School his nickname was Fatley.
"When I speak at meetings I have people come up to me and say I suffer from it, too, but I'm too afraid to talk about it. It's almost like drug addiction is totally acceptable to talk about in Hollywood.
But food addiction? Nobody wants to talk about that. It's really shameful as a man to have that." At times, the 6-foot-3 actor says his weight fluctuated from 180 pounds to 250 pounds. And even now, after he's sought help, Hamilton says he's not quite at 100 percent yet.
"With food it's not black and white. It's: 'Oh, my behavior around food has been better this month," he explains. "You're surrounded by food. There are so many people in our country suffering from this. It's an emotional problem and that's been the struggle for me."
Hamilton's longtime friendship with Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr, who had his own longtime struggles, "helped open the door" to Hamilton's work on the movie.
"But he said 'I can't do it for you, Dude,'" Hamilton explains. "I said, 'That's ok. I just need somebody to give me the opportunity to trust in me sober-wise and give me a shot of this magnitude.' I'll forever owe him for that."
"When I was younger it all came so easy and I didn't appreciate it," he says. "I didn't feel like I'd earned it, you know? Now I feel like I've earned it and I've really worked for it."
