New Bedroom Color choices, originally uploaded by vainbuthonest.

I’m moving very very soon and having the hardest time deciding between paint colors for my new bedroom. I’m leaning towards Trail Print or Amazon Stone...but the Dark Cavern is a very close third. I'm not afraid of going dark (black is my favorite color) and the room does have a lot windows. Click the pic for larger image.

What do you think? Which color would you pick?

*ie Things I Want to Do Before I Turn 27

I have until 11/05/10 (my 27th birthday) to do as much as I can from this list. I would love to get 20+ but I'll see. 15+ would be amazing to me since I procrastinate like crazy. Small goals = small steps. Now, if anyone else makes a list, I wanna see it!!

There needs to be a way to post from Tumblr to LJ. Maybe my LJ would get updated more often.

I'm sitting here seriously wondering what else could go wrong.

My grandmother is home now and doing much better. I've been living with her while I'm back in school which is nice. We talk every night and she cooks giant homecooked meals and it's kinda cool. I'm back in my hometown and enjoying seeing old friends. So everything is good, right?

Well...as I was driving back to Houston this afternoon Lola (my little red VW Beetle) started acting up. The engine, ABS and battery light came on as I was exiting the highway close to my house and BAM! Lola dies. Right there. On the side street. I freaked out, of course. Lo is my first car so I've never really had this happen before. Luckily, this really nice guy pulled up behind me and volunteered to help me 'push start' her. Thank God I drive a stick (and my aunt for teaching me)!! Lola starts up and I'm driving away yelling 'Thanks sooooo much' out the window and hoping the guy heard me. I'll probably never see him again but I'm so grateful especially since I finally learned how to 'push start' a manual car.

Too bad I thought I'd be cute, go home, unpack the car, jump it and then drive to get a battery...Lo died again! On another busy intersection!! With my baby sister in the car!!! A really nice woman stopped to help because the same thing happened to her, in her truck, the week before. Long story really short, I called my cousin for a boost, we knocked on doors to borrow booster cables (I live in the suburbs for sure), got a really sweet elderly man who not only tried to boost Lola but loved her as much as I do (lol) and even though we couldn't boost Lo I'm glad for him, too. I ended up calling roadside assistance (another first) and had my car towed to my house.

And now I have a dead Beetle sitting in my driveway and I'm scared to wonder what could happen next.

Finally watched Let the Right One In after having it for nearly a year. It is beautiful and haunting and...my kind of vampire movie, for sure. Vampires should kill people, not stand around sparkling (Meyers, I'm talking to you). And, don't get all upset about the Twilight jab, Lena! I just can't/don't get it. I'll join you on the HP bandwagon, though...unless you ask me in public.

I'm so glad I watched LTROI before the (no doubt horrible) American remake came out. Eli Roth Matt Reeves (ie the jerk responsible for Cloverfield) has his name written all over the remake. Eww.

Why can't America just watch a foreign movie without feeling like they have to remake it? Reading a few subtitles isn't such a bad thing. And, yes, I'm American. I just don't see the point in remaking perfectly good movies. I don't think I've seen an original, American horror movie in awhile (and no, that Saw torture porn doesn't count).

I haven't been on LJ in almost a month (about a year in net time) and when I come back there is some creepy 'My Guest' feature.

Way to creep me out, LJ.
