My cupcakes are sooo good! Nom nom nom.
And, I hate to break it to you, but I totally cheated and made everything from a box (!). I really wanted red velvet cupcakes and I'd found the perfect recipe online, but once I was in the grocery store I just grabbed a box and a can of frosting. The store didn't even have red velvet cake mix so I really didn't get what wanted (not that I'm complaining). Next time I will just make my own from scratch.
I also had this fantasy about red, pink and white swirled cupcakes (since I couldn't have red velvet...still kinda upset about that) with beautiful white frosting in the center and fluffy white frosting and pink sprinkles on top. I divided the batter into three portions and dyed one red, one pink and left the other plain. It was fun dividing it all up in the liners but baking turned into an issue.

Next time I am just going to bite the bullet and make my own batter. I'm not really craving cupcakes right now though (I've eaten a ton of the last two days) so it may have to be something else. Caketruffles are looking kinda good so that may be next...at some point. The thought of eating any more cake/cupcakes/sweets doesn't sound good at all right now. lol.
Oh, and I tried to get my little sister to give up her cupcake recipe but it was in vain. She's a stubborn little thing and she's reaching the age when threats from big sisters stop working. She did post the recipe for the super glossy frosting in her lj though. Let me know if you can't read it and I'll copy it here.

Hotlink time...
OMG!! Go out right now and buy these cookies!! I'm not joking. They are AMAZING and are serious competition for the Girl Scout's Thin Mints. They're good with tea and ice cream and Coke and milk and...everything.
The only bad thing is that they're hard to find and there aren't enough in the box. I get the feeling I'll be headed back to the grocery store before Friday.
Lol @ me for writing about Oreos instead of doing laundry. I'm down to a pair or leggings and a tank top. I need to stop eating cookies and wash clothes.
