My Vanity's A Mess

Every time I figure out how to use gimp, and get everything all collected and ready to make icons, my computer crashes again. So I've finally learned, and bought an external hard drive. I've also started watching Gossip Girl, so I come bearing three lonely GG icons. I haven't kept up with the current iconing style, so they probably look like they were made about five years ago.

So, after like, two effing years, I bring you two Veronica Mars icons... think of it as a teaser. I'm working on a BUNCH of icons (including: The Office, VM, Grey's Anatomy, Arrested Development, Dead Like Me, and probably some others)

I finally got a new computer, so hopefully I'll be posting more regularly again! ... if anyone even still looks at this. *shrug*

*note, I'm doing the ones at my personal journal first, so I won't get to these until at least tomorrow (friday) night.

I'm sorry I haven't gotten to these yet, I've started a few of them, but I worked a 40 hour week this past week, plus have had classes and now have the flu - so it still might not be for like, 2-3 more days till I get to them. I'm really, amazingly sorry.

Tutorial on CREDITING

So I've learned a good way to remember who made the icon you're about to use, is whenever you save it, save it as the person's lj username (for instance, if I saved 4 of my own icons, I would save as "___loves_it" "___loves_it2" "___loves_it3" .... and so on.

After you've got them saved, you will need to upload them to livejournal.com, which is when you go to:

>>>User Pictures

Once you're in there -- you can upload pictures one at a time. Starting sometime last week - it was changed to look like this:

From File: [box here]
From URL: [box here]
-------------------
Keywords: [box here]
Comments: [box here]

now what you will do is click on either from file/from url - whichever, and upload the picture. Then after you do that, do NOT click save settings yet...

This is when you will put something RESEMBLING the following in the "keywords" box

example:
starbucks // by: ___loves_it
starbucks: ___loves_it
(or anything close to that, as long as you get the username in there somewhere)
