Model and musician Sky Ferreira is the latest “styling muse” of backstage brand fixture Redken. She appeared last night at an industry event alongside mane master (and the company’s creative consultant), Guido Palau, sporting an Edie Campbell-like mullet and color inspired by Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2014 runway (a show she also walked in this past season). “This has everything you shouldn’t do in hair,” explained Palau of Ferreira’s new style and the rooty bowl cuts he created at MJ, “but it becomes the archetype of what’s chic and cool.” And aside from her willingness to take a beauty risk, Ferreira is a natural fit for the brand’s newly expanded and repackaged styling line (launching in March 2014), because she grew up in a salon—literally. Her grandmother, who raised her, was a hairdresser, and the in-house beauty parlor would eventually be transformed into Sky’s bedroom. “She used to chase after me with a brush,” quipped Ferreira, who didn’t do her strands due diligence as a child. In the end, it appears, she showed granny who’s boss.

Newly released photos from the set of the movie show Raymond with an afro and the rock-hard abs Leonard was known for.
"My commitment to his character demands that I not only physically get ready, but also become him," the 35-year-old singer said in an interview for the November issue of Men's Health magazine.
"Sugar Ray is an incredible man, I have to have his hair, his personality, the manner he conducts himself in, all (of) that," he added.
It's not hard to believe that the superstar honed in on Leonard's lifestyle in order to depict him to the fullest. But his flawless physique is something Usher works on in his everyday life, it just so happened to work perfectly for the role of the legendary boxer. "I train like an athlete every day, believe it or not," he confessed. Another parallel that makes the R&B crooner a match to play Leonard is in his fancy footwork on the dance floor similar to the retired boxer's sly moves in the ring.
"What he did as a boxer is no different from what I do as a dancer," the "OMG" singer told the mag.
"You couldn't find a more stylized boxer than Sugar Ray Leonard," he told Billboard in May. "He was an incredible motion guy, the way he moved around the ring and I think my dancing will make it easier for me to pick up his moves."
The film, which is set to hit theaters in 2014, also stars the Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro, who plays Ray Arcel, the first trainer to be inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame and the man behind world boxing champ Roberto Duran's skills.
Zero Dark Thirty" star Edgar Ramirez takes on the role of Duran, the Panamanian boxer who was nicknamed the "Hands of Stone" after his arguably brutal punching style and was also Leonard's infamous rival.
In preparation for the character, Usher had the opportunity to speak to the man himself in order to get firsthand advice on portraying him.
"He had such incredible discipline and he was flashy and classy at the same time," he added to Billboard. "I want to be as passionate and dedicated in preparing for this role as he was every time he stepped into the ring."

Last night saw the KIIS FM Jingle Ball take place in Los Angeles, and what a night it was. Ariana Grande looked like a human snowflake, Selena Gomez went raunchy and Miley Cyrus.. well, Miley Cyrus twerked on Santa.
However, in amongst all the festivities there was a bit of dramah too - when Ariana was accused of having a dig at Selena for not singing live. OOH.
A couple of artists performing at the event suffered from technical glitches - including Ariana, whose microphone decided to start playing up mid set.
Laughing off the situation, Ariana told the audience: "At least I'm singing live", which SOME people took to be a bit of a catty remark aimed at other performers.

Lol sounds like a bad coincidence. After Selena's performance was messed up because her mic was off (and people could still hear the singing continuing), people realized she was lip syncing. Then Ariana came on right after and had the same problem, but people could not hear her singing for the first minute. When she realized it she said, "At least you guys know I'm not being tracked, right?"

Ja Rule took to Twitter this week to address gay rumors that suggest he left his wife for his male prison cellmate. The gossip started when the rapper's wife, Aisha Atkins, was quoted as telling MTV Ja Rule was with the man who shared his prison cell.
"He wrote all them love songs and still don’t know how to treat a b***h," she was quoted as saying by Cream Bmp Daily blog, which apparently started the rumor. "We spent ten-plus years building our marriage but it only took him two to decide he’d rather suck a d*** than be with his wife... He returned home alright – to get his s*** and leave." The Queens native, whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, first quashed the gossip in a tweet Tuesday.
Ok I guess I have to address the idiots these rumors are FALSE LIES made up by some non mf factor website CLOWNS lmao...— Ja Rule (@Ruleyork) December 4, 2013
On Wednesday, he denied the gay rumors again by posting a pic with his lady love.

Swedish garage-rockers the Hives are no strangers to lapses in taste; they did, after all, make this. But as Boston’s CBS Local reports, they went a bit far last night, when they opened for Pink at Boston’s TD Garden. Here’s a bit of stage patter from singer Pelle Almqvist: “This song’s for everyone in Boston. It’s about stuff blowing up. It’s called ’Tick, Tick, Boom.’” Boston, of course, has faced recent tragedy in the form of stuff blowing up, and Almqvist quickly issued an apology on the band’s Facebook page:
"About last night: I wanted to dedicate a song to the Boston crowd because they had been so great throughout the show, and unfortunately Tick Tick Boom was the next song in the set. The tragic Boston Marathon bombing never once crossed my mind while on stage, and of course it should have. My most sincere apologies to the people of Boston for this unintentional but serious mistake."
Maybe this will finally teach bands to stop using the exact same canned stage patter in every city.
Good for him: After years of being accused of having a junk habit, Macaulay Culkin decided to tweak his reputation a little by covering the druggy anthems of Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground… but with a twist: all of the lyrics have been retooled to be about pizza. Culkin contributes vocals, kazoo, and primitive Moe Tucker-style “percussion” pounded out on empty pizza boxes to The Pizza Underground.
So far, The Pizza Underground have only put out one song—a “demo” medley on Bandcamp featuring “Papa John Says,” “I’m Beginning to Eat the Slice,” “Pizza,” “I’m Waiting for Delivery Man,” “Cheese Days,” “Pizza Day,” “All the Pizza Parties,” “Pizza Gal,” “Take a Bite of the Wild Slice.”
The Pizza Underground have done just one gig. Their demo was recorded live at Macaulay Culkin’s house on November 11, 2013. Sure, it’s essentially one joke milked to death, but hey, I laughed!
