You and I are neck and neck in SCI, and right about in the middle, 19 votes behind the top person right now, so I feel like I can say this to you:

I wonder how many weeks we'll have to wait before the popular kids have been kicked into the main contest and SCI becomes more of an a genuine contest for the rest of us. I feel like I'm biding my time, writing my derriere off just to stay in, knowing I'm not actually going to get anywhere for a while.

I'm not bitter (really!)--just amused by (and somewhat impatient with) the dynamics of being known and liked by lots of other people on lj, and especially in idol.

An addendum: obviously staying in the game is an affirmation of strong writing, because the people in this contest aren't bad writers. It's good to be able to keep going, even without being in the main game yet. Continuing to write and be read is the main thing. :)

I get frustrated too. But you can't have a contest like this that involves a mass amount of people voting and not have a bit of it be political. It is what it is. I just don't want to run out of things to say before I get in the main game. Lol.
