once again Yahoo! Horoscopes astounds me. ^^;

Reflections aren't only found in mirrors. Today, seeing your true self isn't really possible unless you take time to be honest and accept your imperfections. Put away your ego and you will be able to learn a valuable lesson about your insecurities. Don't forget: Family traits are not written in stone. Who you are is not predetermined, and you are a work in process. You can make all the changes you want to make, you just have to start -- and then keep going.

so tonight was our last pasta dinner, "Senior Night". the speech thing was just....>w< all day all i could think about was the fact that it was one of the firsts of the lasts for us seniors [if that makes sense], and it's already making me nervous to think about how much time has flown since i first walked into the halls of Moreau Catholic High School as a freshman. i'm gonna keep this short, since i am greatly in need of sleep before my LAST cross country race tomorrow, but i can't put it off or else all the words that have been whirling around in my head since the speeches will disappear~ well, basically, this is just a reiteration of just a few of the memorable things [things i'll miss], but i'll probably edit this...tomorrow or something with a long thing about what i REALLY wanted to say in my speech.

*my MCHS family ~ cross country.
*new friends, old friends.
*running -- 2 miles, 3 miles, or whatever.
*neverending support.
*bonding--not only with the class of '08 but ALL the classes.
*the best coaches, there for us every step [haha] of the way.
*injuries - whirlpool [and the rubber toys in the whirlpool].
*running camps.
*the 4 originals [+ Brian Fix ;D]
*playing spoons at pasta dinners--with knives.
*"Genji-senpai-sama". and all my kouhai <3 :]
*my injury buddy, and all our talks about...stuff.
*my buddy for running races :]
*"fly with the wings of an eagle."
*300 jokes that i pretend to get b/c i STILL haven't watched the movie.
*blasting songs from a radio during races.
*potato salad :]
*running in the rain.
*TEAM SEXY.♥

since i am planning to post this around a bit [like link to here from MySpace and Facebook and such], which is why i am leaving this post unlocked, i just have one thing to say for all the future XC runners [aka the classes of '09 and beyond]:

星をめざして。 <---that [hoshi wo mezashite], which i got from this Japanese song by one of my favorite groups NewS, means reaching or aiming for the stars. this sounds really corny, i know, but i want all of you to reach for the stars, because it just feels so good to know that you did your best, and that you can share that happiness with your other teammates. and, even when you don't feel like you did very good, you know that your teammates are there for you, to bring you back up and support you all the way. it's what i've felt for the last four years, and it's up to you now to bring that kind of support and [wow, how the hell did i get to this? it's not spirit week, but it's true! gah XD] hope to the MCHS XC team.
