http://www.capecodonline.com/cctimes/teendriver3.htm Well if you know my car and my neighborhood, you know that was my mom and I.
Even though the other kids admitted it was partially their fault also, they're blaming the whole thing on me.
And even though the cop that talked to me said the same thing, and just gave me a written warning for "failure to use care", Cape Cod Times is making it seem like I can't drive and just ran out into the middle of the road.
Everyone is alive, and the kid who wasn't wearing a seatbelt in the other car fractured around his eye but if he had been wearing one, it wouldn't have happened. The driver of the other car was completely okay, and the kid in the passenger seat had to get two staples on the back of his head. My chest and right breast are pretty badly bruised from the shoulder restraint and as a result I can't move my right arm much. I'm just thankful that I always wear my belt and that the other kids payed attention to their driver's ed teacher's no-seatbelt horror stories.
However, my mom has a broken leg, and they had to put a rod into it because her knee hit the dashboard. But, like the rest of us, if she hadn't been wearing a seatbelt things would have been much worse.
Let this be a reminder to you all to always wear your seatbelts, because I probably wouldn't have been alive right now if I wasn't wearing one.
So if you pray or anything, pray for my mom and pray that the kids' family does not decide to polite ignore their childrens' admitted part in the accident and take me to court.
