As I was searching through google looking for a cool spot to go camping in a couple of weeks, I stumbled upon a website outlining the Appalachian Trail. Okay, cool. As my eyes glance over the page, I come to a dead stop when I see the numbers 2,174. That's 2,174 miles. A trail, that people hike, is over 2,174 miles. I utter the words "holy shit". I instantly became fascinated. The trail extends from the northern tip of Maine to the norther tip of Georgia. There are shelters and towns along the way, that are accustomed to these hikers. The hike can take a much as 7 months to as little as 3 months. There are several slangs to go with this trails and the hikers that decide to this wondrous journey. Blue-blazers, yellow-blazes, north-bounders, south-bounders, purists, thru-hikers! It's insane! I've decided this is one of my LIFE GOALS. No joke. I will take 3-7 months out of my life, someday, to HIKE THIS. Camping, and hiking into towns to restock on food, and above all being in nature and observing the wildlife and grasping all the beauty the earth has to offer. No computers, no phones, no nothing. Just walking (with whomever chooses to join me) peacefully throughout the 11 or so states. Reading books, writing a journal, enjoying life. THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN. Then maybe I'll know how Thoreau felt..

A friend of mine recently found a kitten under her house. She has two dogs, a cat and 3 month old, and couldn't really take on the task of a new kitten. I asked her all the details and what, and why and where. After a quick pit stop at a pet store, Justin and I went and picked him up yesterday. He's the cutest little mother fucker around. My friend told me he was about six weeks old, but with more research we've discovered he's probably only 3-4 weeks old. His head is still really wobbly and he stumbles around everywhere. He fits in the palms of my hands and has the cutest blue eyes. We haven't decided if we're going to keep him or try and find a new home for him. For the time being we are calling him Mr. Beebles. Taking care of a baby cat is similar to taking care of a toddler. You can't take your eyes off them, you have to make sure they eat and go to the bathroom, and they can get annoying. This lil guy wont stop biting me and attacking my hand as I type this. Animals!

Dear Mister know-it-all,
DO NOT REACH INTO MY TIP JAR TO GET CHANGE!
And after I tell you that NEXT time you CANNOT DO THAT, don't go on a whole long rant about how, believe it or not, there really are honest people in the world and you're one of them. And about what happened to the olden days, where people believed one another. Guess what? It's not the same today as it was before. I wouldn't even know if you were a child molester or not!
I DON'T CARE. I DON'T REACH INTO YOUR WALLET FOR A ONE BECAUSE I NEED TO MAKE CHANGE.
Sorry, it just REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, annoys me when people reach into the tip jar whenever they damn well feel like. It's not take a penny, leave a penny. This is a portion of money, I HEAVILY rely on!
Thanks,
_____february. :)

I'm mostly going to use it for shit like what I'm baking (I'm starting an online bakery kind of thing) and will use it to track my experiences. I will also put up pictures of the bikes and mopeds I will be working on. Pictures of travels. Ya know, cool shit.

I just want it to stay warm forever!!
I FINALLY got a home store at work. I'm so sick of playing the traveling barista and working all over metro-detroit and not having a set schedule. I have like one more weekend at 9 mile & Gratiot then I'm going to be at my NEW store for good. My new store is Somerset South. The ritzy side of the mall. I'm gonna be difficult to go from serving white trash to annoying, botox-ed, middle aged women shopping at Coach and all those other dumb stores. I even had to get some nicer looking work clothes because of the location. Whatever! I worked there today and it wasn't that bad surprisingly! The thing I love is mall hours! They're heavenly. When I used to open before I would have to be at work at 4:30am. Now I open at 7! I get to finish the deposit and all that business before 10am, before the mall even opens. We close at 9 every night and on Sunday we close at 6! I'm excited! Hopefully the tips will be bangin' as well.
I may also possibly be getting a job at Inn Season Cafe working nights or something. The extra cash will be good!
Two things coming up at the end of the month that I'm pretty excited about it. We're finally doing a Critical Mass in Detroit. Basically its a huge bike ride through out the streets of Detroit. I hope it brings out a lot of people and we can start doing it every month! Also there's going to be a Planned Parenthood Pot Luck/Movie night at Meghan's a few days after. Looking forward to all of it.
Last night Justin and I went to Ann Arbor to look at mopeds. I think next week I'll be purchasing a Puch moped, but we'll see! I'm excited to work on mopeds and ride. He also got me a bike this week, which I'm also stoked to work on and finally ride.

Soooooo getting my wisdom teeth was the worst thing in the world, and I'm really glad I only ever have to get them out once in my life. I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia and got really sick the next day after. Justin had to call my doctor and pick up this medication chemo patients take to make them stop throwing up. It was shitty, but I'm glad it's over. It was kind of weird being put to sleep, and weird waking up and I was acting funny, but whatevs.
February was a good month, I suppose. I had my birthday, and it was Justin's and mine One year. :) We are cute. I finally started working a bit more. More cash. We're still in the process of finishing the house, but it's slowly coming together. :)
The weather is driving me insane. Normally I can handle winter and cold just fine, but it's been like 5 months of harsh cold. Today was 16 degrees and by Friday it's going to be 50 then the next day it goes back down to 30, I guess. I'm so ready for spring. I'm excited to ride bikes to the farmers market and just to be able to do some gardening and general outside activities. Holllaaaa.
I'm also looking for a better job. It would be nice to get a 9-5 somewhere, which I'm currently working on since I have a awesome resume, but job situations for everyone is sucking now. I wanna start saving up so we can go to Callliiiforrrniaaaaa! Speaking of which, I'm already planning for my 21st birthday. I want to go to Northern California so I can go on vineyard tours since I'm such a wine lovah.
Gangland is on t.v right now and it's about Detroit and it's kind of cool seeing this stuff. It's kind of crazy that we're like, the murder capital of the U.S. but I still love Detroit.

Yesterday was my birthday. I made some cupcakes. Vegan chocolate cupcakes with peanut-butter cream filling, butter cream frosting topped with chopped nuts. They're pretty good. I think i'm going to make a few more since it's Brendy's birthday today and Blackbirds has a show tonight.
Justin took me to see the Black Keys last week for my birthday. It was good. We got to hang with Ian for a bit. It was insane how many people there were. They played a wide variety of music and had an inflatable dream catcher and totem pole as their backdrop. We also ate at Mexican village and I fucking love their salsa. I also just found out that the singer/guitar player now has a solo project and it's not too bad. (Have you seen it yet, Steve?)
Last night we just spent my birthday with my parents. We went out to dinner and hung out at their place for it a bit. It was nice. He also got me the 10th anniversary boxed set of the Powerpuff girls. Hells yes. Next weekend we're having my whole family over, sisters and nieces, for dinner for my birthday. It'll be fun 'cause I have seen my niece Charlotte since the beginning of December and my other niece Madeline apparently can't stop talking about our kitties and how cute they are and how she can't wait to see them.
Next week I get to be put under and get my wisdom teeth out. They're all impacted and so I have to it like a surgery. Not pumped. I've never been put under so I'm kind of nervous. Plus Justin and I once watched this movie called Awake where the guy gets put under but he's really still awake he just can't move and thats OBVIOUSLY going to happen to me. BUT I in turn, do get to be babied for a few days by both my parents and Justin. Hopefully I'll be alright to go to work that weekend. Who Knowz.
Justin and I will be making a "soul-food" type vegan food blog. because we make really awesome dinners, and we thought you should all be aware of it. so keep your eyes opennnn.
