Ray Manzarek, the founding keyboardist for the Doors, passed away this morning in Germany, according to a statement from his publicist. The cause was bile duct cancer.
As a member of the legendary rock band that formed in 1965 in Los Angeles and effectively ended with the death of frontman Jim Morrison in 1971 (though the group continued to perform and release music in other iterations for many years), Manzarek became an enduring symbol of the era — he was portrayed by Kyle McLachlan in the 1991 Oliver Stone biopic The Doors, and wrote a best-selling memoir about his experiences, Light My Fire: My Life with The Doors, in 1998.
The Doors sold more than 100 million albums worldwide on the strength of hits like ”Hello, I Love You,” “Riders on the Storm,” “Light My Fire,” and “Break On Through to the Other Side.”
Manzarek is survived by his wife Dorothy, son Pablo, and three grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in Manzarek’s name to standup2cancer.org.

"It really is an inspiring song for my fans," Cyrus continued. "We don't care, we can do what we want."
And for those keeping score, yes, Cyrus was wearing her engagement ring. Her fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, is currently at the Cannes Film Festival promoting The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Now the latest female pop singer to draw a response from Rihanna is none other than Miley Cyrus.
Recently honored with the top spot on Maxim magazine's Hot List, Cyrus was asked if she would make out with Rihanna, to which Miley replied, "definitely."

January Jones has remained mum on the identity of her son’s father — and she intends to continue doing so.
“That’s my son’s business,” January told The New York Times of 1-year-old Xander‘s father. “It’s not the public’s business.”

Girl group T-ARA's unit group, T-ARA N4, visited L.A. for 4 nights and 5 days and talked with famous U.S. producers and artists.
T-ARA N4 met up with Chris Brown as well as producing team, 1500 or NOTHIN and talked about possible U.S. promotions.
Today the group held a press conference in Korea to reveal more in detail about what happened during their stay in L.A.
T-ARA N4 first met up with Chris Brown and later was invited to the YouTube networking office. They also visited the famous shoe brand, VLADO and held a surprise fan sign meeting. They also was able to meet Lilceaser, who was a famous choreographer for Madonna and Mariah Carey. They also talked about music and other possible event with producers 1500 or NOTHIN for over 7 hours.
They also stated that they plan on releasing their song, "Countryside Diary" worldwide with featuring done by Chris Brown, T-Pain and more. Hyomin commented, "We will be releasing 5 different versions of this song and target international countries. We've currently finished recording the music video for one of the versions."
T-ARA N4 will also be opening for Chris Brown's solo concert and will be leaving to the U.S. again on May 25. They were also invited to next month's BET awards and will walk on the red carpet.
Eunjung commented, "We were first able to know Chris Brown because member Dani had talked about our new song to him. Michelle Stafford is leaving the long-running CBS soap The Young and the Restless after 16 years, a source close to the show exclusively tells E! News.
Stafford's exit follows the recent passing of beloved Young and the Restless star Jeanne Cooper, whom the show will pay tribute to with a special on Tuesday, May 28.
Nominated seven times for a Daytime Emmy in the Outstanding Leading Actress in a Drama Series category, Stafford took home the award in 2004. She also won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 1997.
Stafford recently shot a retrospective video in honor of her show’s 40th anniversary (see clip below).
When she first started on the sudser, “I was actually told that I would be recurring and that I would only be on for six weeks,” she says in the spot, smiling. “But I knew in my mind that that wasn’t going to happen.”
Stafford played fan favorite Phyllis Summers on The Young and the Restless. After joining the show in 1994, she left in 1997 before returning in 2000. (Her role was taken over by Sandra Nelson.)

What a graduation present. On the day Skylar Diggins graduated from Notre Dame, she was presented with a new Mercedes by Roc Nation, the company founded by Jay-Z that represents her.

If your choice of Twitter follows is somewhat questionable, you will find #NoTeenPreg tweets followed by a statement that ‘all teen mums are sluts’ or that they should ‘just stop spreading their legs’.

Jeremy Renner is on daddy duty! The 42-year-old actor stepped out with girlfriend Sonni Pacheco and debuted their nearly 2-month-old baby girl, Ava, in L.A. on Sunday, May 19.
During the family outing, The Avengers star appeared to be very hands-on, carrying his daughter's stroller down a flight of stairs and getting her car seat in and out of the car. Pacheco pushed the stroller, where baby Ava was resting comfortably under a pink blanket, and showed off her slim post-baby body in dark skinny jeans and a gray tank top.
Us Weekly exclusively broke the news that Renner was expecting with Pacheco, and welcomed his baby girl on March 28.
"Jeremy Renner and girlfriend Sonni Pacheco have confirmed that they are the parents of a 7 lb. daughter Ava Berlin Renner," his rep later confirmed in a statement. "They are beyond thrilled. Mother and daughter are doing great."

Series star Sarah Michelle Gellar is returning to TV opposite Robin Williams with "The Crazy Ones," a new comedy on CBS this fall. At the CBS 2013 upfront red carpet last week, Gellar was surprised by how much time has passed since she last wielded a wooden stake on TV.

The Billboard Music Awards had a viewing audience of 9.47 million, a 28 percent spike over 2012's audience of 7.4 million viewers, Nielsen reported. The show was No. 1 Sunday night in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, pulling in 4.6 million viewers in the age group.
It's the highest ratings for the BBMAs in 12 years. Combined with the season finale of "America's Funniest Home Videos," ABC won the night with an overall rating of 3.1 in the 18-49 demo. All other networks were below 1.8. All numbers are part of Nielsen's "fast national ratings"; final numbers will be released later today.
In terms of the demo, the same number of people between the ages of 18 and 49 watched the Billboard Music Awards as last week's finale of "American Idol."
The night's other music program, "ACM Presents: Tim McGraw’ Superstar Summer Night" on CBS, was watched by 6.2 million viewers, with an audience of 1.53 million in the 18-49 group.
The demographic numbers for programs in May are important as they are used to establish advertising rates in the coming season.

Lady Gaga apparently proved just that after meeting actor Danny Trejo as the two just happened to be sitting alongside each other at the Shamrock Social Club tattoo parlor in Los Angeles a while back.
When the subject of Trejo's next film, Machete Kills, came up, the singer expressed her interest in someday working with the movie's director, Robert Rodriguez.
A spokesperson at Open Road Films, who's releasing Machete Kills, tells E! News that Trejo put a call into Rodriguez on behalf of Gaga and the rest, as they say, is history.
Last July, Gaga tweeted: "Yes, its true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @ RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!!"

Sky Sports sources understand Jose Mourinho is set to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season as speculation grows about his return to Chelsea.
Mourinho is expected to take charge of Chelsea again this summer and Real have fuelled speculation about his departure by calling a press conference for this evening.
President Florentino Perez is due to speak to the media and will confirm that the club have agreed to let Mourinho leave at the end of the current campaign.
PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti is in line to replace him, but the newly-crowned Ligue 1 champions are reluctant to let him go.
Club president Nasser Al Khelaifi said: "Yes, we had discussions, he asked to depart for Real Madrid.
"I said it is not possible because he has a contract for one year more, so that is our decision.
