"Shuttersnap"
"The land and sky pass in a blur. The world outside is moving so fast. The colors of the wildflowers bleed into themselves. The fragrance stands alone, clean and pure. My friend, she's sitting on the boxcar floor lacing up her worn sneakers (shuttersnap) humming a tune grounded in her childhood. The melody floats in the air, potent, inspiring. She stands up and walks forward, leaving the shadows and joining me in the sunlight of our youth (shuttersnap). I don't notice her at first, I'm too taken by the moment, euphoric. The warmth of the sun bakes our skin in this crisp morning cool. She stops humming and pulls herself up to my ear (shutternsap). A faint whisper, barely audible, "This is why we live, this moment. These are the stillframes of our lives." She rested her head on my shoulder. The wind played puppeteer with her hair; golden strands manipulated by unseen hands, mesmerizing, breaking the sunlight pouring on my body, dancing shadows across my face. I turn, a wind tunnel of hair, her soft eyes the epicenter. We came together at the lips, a taste of honeysuckle soaked in the dew of an early morning sunrise (shuttersnap)."
