a truly amazing song.  amazing poet / singer / songwriter, amazing voice.  the lyrics are pure poetry.  i understand this is pretty typical of a leonard cohen song.

rufus wainwright did a marvellous cover of this song, which was featured in the animated movie shrek.

karunesh is this french dude that had an epiphany after a motorcycle accident and decided to ditch his career in graphic design and follow his heart to india two decades ago, and he's been in love with it ever since, expressed with his own version of east-meets-west india-flavored music that happens to be very, very good.  punjab, one of his more popular songs, happens to also be the theme song of our favorite hookah cafe here in delhi, right outside my house.
