Channel _53 used to be a friends-only and personal (i.e. whiny) LJ. But then I started posting more and more bizarre nonsense and offbeat news links and oddities, and people liked it, so that's what it turned into. I can't stop; it's now like some sick addiction. I mean aside from my other existing sick addictions.

My friend in Dubai got back in touch with me. Apparently he was just really busy. He'll be visiting me on the 27th or so with a shiny MacBookPro for me :)

cool for you.

One of my good friends is OBSESSED with macs. He's actually a computer whiz, and is a tech coordinator for a school. The MacBook Pro is pretty cool and has a lot of neat features. Have fun with it!

Yeah, I can't wait. I used to have a second gen iMac in art school and later, a Powerbook G3. I've been in geek purgatory ever since being forced to switch to Windows machines (Macs used to cost 36% more here than they do in the states thanks to greedy import taxes but they've been lifted recently).

This machine will also be crucial for me learning 3D art and animation soon. But even if it weren't for that, I'm seriously never switching to Vista.
