Interesting, but having read the comments afterwards and relating to my own experience I would be wary of taking any of his advice "uncritically". This is a fight on many fronts and his stuff can add to it but I don't agree with knocking Lerma or reducing the Xenu publicising and criticism of celebs. "xenu is just to wacky and makes you look as silly as they are" Oh Rlly! In fact a lot of the letter is suspect although if the person is truly inside $cn perhaps this is an inevitable effect of the "tech" (brainwashing).
I am also wary of taking his advice when, concerning his simplified message website, idea there is nothing to stop him from doing it himself.
This letter suggests itself as being the "one true path" to success. More likely it could be used as a wedge to divide and conquer. If you read the letter - perhaps you should read the comments also.
I think you hit the nail on the head with the word "incredible".

I had the same thoughts. I kinda thought they are doing pretty well right now. The whole reason that Scientology isn't able to strike back is because of the numbers, the worldwide dispersement, and the anonymous nature of the Internet. By doing the things that he suggested, it lessens the ways that they are strong.

The leaders of Scientology aren't stupid. They could be using the same kind of viral information sharing that works so well overall against them.

I smell a subtle colored rat.

One thing that he briefly mentioned is good - FreeZone. There has to be a replacement when you cut the strings. It's hard to give up something that people view as their life support. Gah.

So, take away the evil nature of Scientology and you are left with what's offered by FreeZone.

That really needs a boost.

Agreed.
Re freezone - I don't really know how safe it is. It certainly appears to be much less repressive, manipulative and controlling (it may even be free from those problems) but I do wonder at it using much of the same tools. I suppose if someone really feels they need, for example, auditing, it is probably safer under freezone. But, in principle it is still possible to abuse it. Same goes for many other of the "tech". Like I say, I really don't know but my current analogy is comparing it to methodone for recovering addicts. It can be abused but hopefully it is useful to get people off the worst of the alternatives. I agree that "cold turkey" is likely to be too much for some I just worry that the "methodone" probably shouldn't be viewed as full recovery. Worse still I wouldn't like people to think that the "methodone" is 100% ok to try for someone who has never taken any mind altering "tech".
Anyway, priority No1 is definitely breaking the management and structure of the official "church" so I should probably avoid getting too distracted by any potential secondary problems.

Heh. Don't get me wrong, what little I know of FreeZone still reminds me of that creepy cult Heaven's Gate. But, for people who are in a position of not liking what they hear about Co$, but liking the outcome of the program (which is what it should actually be called, not a church), they should be referred to FreeZone.

It's a voluntary brainwashing method. I think that people do that with all sorts of things. Most people need some sort of illusion in their lives to varied degrees just to get by in life. It's a risk/benefit thing. It's when the risk and harm ratio tips into the lives of others, both close to the person and into general society that it needs to be dealt with by outside forces.

Make sense?

Awareness and ridicule are what is going to keep people away from Co$. Allowing them to play the religious persecution card is absolute bullshit.

Hey, if that dude is high enough up on the platform, he should be able to get more information for anonymous to work with. In good faith...No?

Is there anyone working on the FreeZone stuff? *cough*emailme*cough*
