Title: Something Rotten
Status of work: WIP (2/?)
Fandoms: Sherlock BBC, The Bridge (Bron I Broen)
Rating: Teen for now, Explicit for later, hopefully.
Pairings: Sherlock Holmes/John Watson, Sherlock Holmes/Saga Norén, John Watson/Mary Watson.
Spoilers/seasons: Set after TAB (Sherlock BBC), after S2 (The Bridge).
Summary: In Denmark someone is building works of art out of dead bodies, but signs with Sherlock's name. The crimes stir up things from his past, things that would be better if they stayed buried. Can Sherlock solve the case before his career, his relationships and his very existence are threatened?
Saga Norén is having a hard year - the weather is unforgiving, work has been drab and boring lately and her only friend is in prison for life. Can a collaboration with an English consulting detective turn things around?

Author's note: Anyone want to beta read this? :)

Back from deep, deep lurkdom.

Hi everybody!

It's been eight (8) years since I was active in any fandom, much less the long slumbering Smallville fandom. Because of many reasons (relationship-issues, increased work-load, having children) I had to stop being creative in fandoms. I didn't have the time. I receeded into deep lurkdom, and basicly just read fic in many, many fandoms.

Nowadays I'm multifannish (and multishipping) but my main fandom is Sherlock BBC, although there are other fantastic shows that I love as well.

Peeking in here again, because I've started writing fic again. It's a crossover of Sherlock and Bron I Broen I The Bridge.

Summary:
In the aftermath of HLV, Sherlock and John travel to Denmark to solve a murder in a museum. During the case they meet Saga Norén, Malmö County CID. Together they work on the case, with surprising benefits to them all. Pairings are Sherlock/Saga, Sherlock/John and John/Mary. I intend to write explicit sex scenes, if my talent is enough for such endeavours. *shifty eyes*

The story takes place before season 4 of Sherlock, and before season 3 of The Bridge.

What I'm wondering is: Where can I find a good Beta for this fic? I would love to discuss ideas and characterization, plot arcs and such things. :)
Britpicking would also be nice.

Hoping for answers!

Happy birthday Betrue!

Popping in to wish beet a very happy birthday! I hope you'll have a wonderful day, hon.

Edited because I mixed people up. Early onset dementia, I suspect...

Sail is back!

Hi everybody! Long time no see.

It’s been a rather weird time for me the last six months or so, and that’s why I’ve been so absent.

Work was very busy all the way right up to Christmas, with me working overtime just the day before Christmas Eve.

It took me most of the holiday to unwind, delayed stress crawling like tiny insects inside my scull for days, and having to deal with my family on top of that.

The one thing that really brightened up my holidays was my boyfriend. He is such a sweetheart, I don’t deserve him.

He gave me my some really neat stuff for Christmas, a Smallville T-shirt property of Smallville athletics department, which I wear when I exercise (twice a week now, go me!). And a Smallville mug which is huge and therefore excellent for my breakfast tea.

As I’d also wished for various TV series DVDs, and I got some of them, among them season 1 of Stargate: Atlantis. I devoured the whole DVD box in just a few days. And then I had to go read fic, of course. And download season 2, and as much of season 3 I could get my grabby little hands on. Yeah, that was a great way to spend the holidays.

But that didn’t last long, of course. In January my work load increased again; in fact, the final deadline for the project was due late February.

I had to put pretty much all my private life on hold, friends, fandom, writing, the very Internet. Everything that wasn’t work, sleep and commuting was ruthlessly eliminated from my life. I’m lucky my boyfriend loves me, because he took care of the apartment and all that stuff, and took care of me when I got home more asleep than awake most nights.

In February the busy period at work it was finally, finally over. Then, typically enough, my laptop broke. It was completely toasted; I was lucky to get most of my fannish endeavors extracted through various recovery programs and the help from my amazing computer-savvy boyfriend. He’s my savior!

Even though he could save most of my files, my old laptop was essentially dead. I got a new one, a Dell this time. It didn’t arrive until the end of March. I named him Nataxis, and he’s very pretty. :)

By this time I had slipped back into lurkdom (my default setting) and found it surprisingly difficult to ease back into active fandom. Work never got back to the same level it had been before The Great Stress Period, as my superiors deemed me worthy of more responsibility and started heaping jobs at me.  Blessing or curse, you tell me?

It’s just now that I’m finding peace enough in my life to engage myself again.

So I guess there is much that I have missed, please feel free to pimp good Smallville stuff from yourself and others.

Some thank-yous:

Thank you talitha78 for the pretty virtual birthday gift, as well as the valentines gift! You’re a sweetheart!

Romanyg gave me 2 months paid lj-time! Thank you so much!

Serenography virtual x-mas gift. Thank you!

It’s good to be back. I have a WiP to continue (I have been writing on Lex Marks the Spot) and manips to finnish. Expect to see more of me over the next few weeks, as I finally have sweet, sweet vacation.

Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday, betrue! I hope you have a fantastic day filed with love, laughter and happiness.

*birthday kisses*

Happy New Years, everyone!

Thank you!

Thank you so much, </a></b></a>serenography for the stack of wrapped presents on my info page! That was so sweet of you!

Merry Christmas!

I wish you all the merriest of Christmases!

Off to my family for celebrating now. (In Sweden we celebrate a day early, just to be contrary)

Happy Holidays!

HTML help needed!

I suck at posting to LJ. Also, I am an HTML idiot. These are the reasons why I need help.

Why are *line breaks* inserted automatically after every LJ user name I make using rich text mode? WHY? They are breaking up the text in a most unapealing way. I can't figure out how to make them go away either. Stupid line breaks.

Oh, HTML and/or LJ savvy person on my flist, is there a way to avoid the line breaks while using rich text mode? Please help me.
