hear me talkin'? booty rockin'!

so, yeah.
eric and i got an apartment in grass valley.
it's pretty rad. it's a studio, with a closet.
no kitchen (we have a fridge, though), bathroom is shared with everyone in the building. the shower is actually just a big sink that you climb into and attach a shower head to the faucet thing. we also do our dishes in this big sink.
but, it's only $350 a month, and it's right downtown.

we've been to s.f. a bunch. going to the mission and the ocean and visiting pauly.

that's about it.
looking for a job.

i don't think bubba's bagels needs anyone else like they told me on the phone.
because when i spoke to the manager in person she said they were full. bitch.

so, maybe i'll get hired at pete's pub pizza. which is like.. two steps away from
the apartment in grass valley eric and i are hoping to get.
why we're hoping for this apartment i don't understand.
it's only one open room.. about as big as our bedroom at eric's mom's house right now.
and a closet.
and there's only one bathroom that all tenants in the apartment building share.
and there's no stove, fridge, sink, etc.

but, i would like to live there.
heroin chic.

i'm making my friend emily a mix cd entitled "who wants to go to a dance party?"
the songs i have so far are:
marvin gaye - "sexual healing",
eddie money - "two tickets to paradise",
flock of seagulls - "space age love song",
steppenwolf - "born to be wild",
the clash - "rock the casba",
anita ward - "ring my bell".

you know.. butt rock songs (humorous or actually good songs to which you can dance to).
any suggestions?

i really hope i get hired at bubba's bagels or flour garden.
ali goes to work. emily goes to summer school or work. and eric goes to work.
and i'm here.. lonely and bored.

usually, i wake up at eight-ish.
then make the bed, open the curtains, brush my teeth,
feed the critters, get dressed, drink coffee..
and then i either read things or watch tv or paint.

graduating was fun. i didn't trip when i went up to receive my diploma.
and afterward a bunch of people came back to our house for a partay.
ali and i made tons of food prior, including phyllo wrapped asparagus,
HUGE veggie tray, pinwheel thingy sandwich things, fruit ka-bob things.
and of course chips and dip and some other shit.
and champagne! champagne with peach nectar!

i received fun and helpful gifts, too. which i wasn't expecting.

OH. and yesterday eric and i took the sierra college assessment test.
which was very easy. however we weren't allowed the use of calculators on the math test.
but, we could choose which level of math test we wanted to take. because of the lack of
calculator action, i took the test right below calculus, instead of taking calculus. boner.

OH. and then eric and i spent about.. almost TWO hours picking out only TWO movies at blockbuster.
and then when we went to check out, we found out that eric's family's account had expired. and also
to start a new one you need a real credit card. as in not an atm card. so, all that work for nothing.
but, we ended up going to video library, where you don't need a real credit card.. just an atm card to start an account, and got nico: icon, which i've wanted to see forEVER. and we also got vertical ray of the sun. which is awesome so far.

also, everyone who hasn't seen harold and maude should see harold and maude.

i made my journal all pretty.

oh, and i forgot to mention that i'm graduating of wednesday (june 8th).
also eric got a job. so, i'm alone all day.
i would like a job, too. but, i don't have a car.
so, i'll have to wait until we move into town. then i can walk/ride a bike to a job.

has anyone heard of a hawk and a hacksaw?
they played at the record store here (the love shack).
and they're incredible. apparently, the band is basically just one man.
but, he had other musicians play on his album (including a member of neutral milk hotel).
the concert was the guy, who played the DRUMS AND ACCRODIAN AT THE SAME TIME.
he had a drum stick taped to his left knee and a drumstick coming out of a hat.
the hat also had perhaps 30 bells attatched to it. he used the drumstick on his
hat to hit a cymbol next to his head. also, there was a young-looking woman playing the xylephone, practice piano (the kind you blow in), and the violin. she played the violin so well!
the music was.. strange romantic french-russian-italian-middle eastern weirdness. i liked it a lot.
so, check it out!

but, i still need to take the assessment test, talk with a counselor, go to orientation...
i'm not sure what my major will be yet. maybe it will be a foreign language.

christmas..
okay.
we got another portable dvd player, some dvds, candy, hats, COOL STUFF, etc.

also, we adopted a bunny. we named her usagi, which is japanese for "rabbit".
she used to live in an apartment upstairs, but her family did NOT take care of her. she lived in a tiny cage, and she's a large rabbit. also, her cage was never cleaned. the kids in this household played hockey in the living room, where the rabbit's cage was located. so, now her life will be so wonderful. she's very happy already.

come home from work already, eric!
