Well.. I've survived another year. Apparently to some it is a surprise, most new years I'm congratulated on still being alive. And due to the large bruise that is growing on my hip, I can see where they are coming from.
To explain, my night consisted of playing crazy-insane-kill-people hockey. Since my original plans fell through I found alternative plans and ended up in the wilds of Athens, Maine, on a pond with a hockey stick and instructions to kill people who had the puck and weren't on my team. The other team obviously had the same intent... I have never been slammed into the ice so hard in my life. It was great fun, I even scored a goal and many people now say that sneaker-on-ice hockey is my calling.
Later there was a game of manhunt, and I froze, hidden on a roof for two hours. I'm really good at hiding and being quiet despite the predictions made.
Really, watching the ball drop at 12 isn't as exciting as it used to be. Especially when people have Tivo and insist on rewinding it and watching the ball drop about ten times.
I'm excited for 2007. So far, it's already going better than the first day of 2006 did. Mostly because I'm not working.
So, welcome 2007, I have no plans for you, but it should be fun!
