I'm a costume designer from Birmingham, Alabama. I have a BA in Theatre with a concentration in Design and Technology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I particularly enjoy historical fashion, especially the 18th Century and Regency periods. I've been sewing since I was a little kid when my Grandmother and Mother taught me. I started "cosplaying" in high school then went to college on a Theatre scholarship. I've worked as a stitcher for UAB Theatre for over four years, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, the American Village (Junior Interpreter), and the Virginia Shakespeare Festival. My design credits include: Shakespeare and Company's Fall Festival (Much Ado About Nothing & Cymbeline), Theatre UAB: Eurydice (2009), The Rivals (2009), Asst. Designer: Cabaret (2008), The Tempest (2007).
My journal, déshabillée, is a historical fashion and costume blog where I talk about my adventures in costuming, which also happens to be my hobby and profession.
