9:46 am - Caching with friends
Last Friday I had a really fun day of caching with Mooman, Buddhaman, and 1 of 4MRnutz. We started out in the afternoon...I found 6 caches, avenged a DNF, and even got a group FTF.

7:17 pm - On a Whim
I finally got to ride my new bike today. Well other than riding in circles in my driveway. The trail was still wet and it was like trying to pedal through sand. But it was still fun! just a little extra work on the legs.

7:18 pm - Puppy's Cache
Mike and I took the dogs to do this cache today. I love the idea--it's a dog themed cache. It's along the YRT in Connellsville.
The only downside of this section of the trail was that it doesn't seem like people clean up after their dogs. This is a HUGE issue with me...makes me crazy! Ok enough complaining...

We found the cache quickly, I signed in with a stick(no pen in the cache), traded and rehid the can. It was beautiful day to be on the trail.

7:06 pm - ONE DAY AT A TIME....
I don't know who's worse my Dad or me?!? Just when I thought I was a strong person...seeing him through this surgery has got the best of me. So bad that...he had a reaction to the tape and had a rash all over his back---I also got a rash on my back! He took a turn for the worse and has a spinal fluid leak and has a terrible migraine...I had a headache so bad I didn't want to lift my head from the pillow. What is wrong with me?!?! He's still in really good spirits and said to me "my big toe itches, does yours?"

He is still completely confined to bed, not even allowed to sit up to eat. I think we will know next week if he has to have another surgery. NO!! Please get better Dad!!!

7:11 pm - Pictures
My caching time is limited right now but I went to a few pretty nice areas in the last few weeks. Posting a few pics for when my Dad is allowed to sit at the computer again so he has something to look at.

Dad's surgery went well...whew! It was such a long week. He drove the poor nurses crazy...they said they were throwing a party the day he left. They were kidding... they said it was so nice to have someone like him...he told them stories and made them laugh all the time.

He has everything under control.

I got some great news this week and thought I would share. Everyone
who has made it to one of our cleanup events has met Carl and Gene from
PA Cleanways.
Shortly after our first event, Gene became sick and found out he needed
a heart transplant. He had a pretty rough year to follow but never it
let him slow him down. His attitude and kindness showed just the
opposite. Gene even came with Carl and I to find a site for our second
event and helped both days!
Carl called me Tuesday morning to tell me Gene got his heart
transplant!! I got chills when I heard the news! Please just keep him
in your thoughts and prayers while he recovers. Hopefully we will see
him at another event!

11:34 am - CHEAT LAKE
Mike and I went out with Tommy, Tracy, and the kids on their boat Sunday. Mike is getting over bronchitis and the forecast wasn't impressive but we decided to go anyways. So glad we did because the weather was beautiful and it was a really fun day.

8:56 am - SNAKES!!
Mike has been putting up a fence at our house (doing a fine job, I must say). Along with that we have been doing some yardwork/landscaping/cleaning. The only thing slowing down our progress---snakes! We have never had so many. Mike isn't too fond of them and so my Dad "crocodile hunter" himself has been catching them for us. Notice I said "catching" not "killing"--he doesn't believe in killing anything! Yesterday my Dad and Herb cleaned out the shed in our backyard and found a couple more BIG ones.
