~*~*~*~ LOVING~*~*~*~
Your loving nature makes you wonderful to be
around. You are the type of person that accepts
people for who they are and they in return of
your good heartedness, accept you right back.
You are most likely a romantic at heart. With a
sensitive soul and probably a broken heart from
the past, you don't usually trust people. You
have probably been hurt by someone you love or
loved dearly which makes it hard to confide in
others. Easy going and romantic, fun and
lovable, you have a great personality. You are
very well liked in the general world that
you're in.

You're Beautiful...but why? ( PICS)

You're the innocent girl next door. You are
friendly, cheerful, kind, and happy. You like
to spread your happiness around making people
feel warm and joyous. To do this you like to
bake cookie and muffins while giving kind
compliments. Plus you actually give apples to
your teachers. You're pure and innocent and
most likely haven't broken many rules. Everyone
loves you. How can they not?

I'm still alive... honestly!!! [Feb. 17th, 2005|05:55 pm]
So it's been like two and a half months since i last posted which is awful!!! So here's a quick update on the last few months!

I’ve been here 6 months now…. Can you believe it… 6 MONTHS!!!!! Well it'll be 6 months on February 31st. It doesn’t feel like that long at all… time flies here it really does.

So much has gone on since i last posted!!! I went on my first trip... went to Miami which was fantastic. It was really hot even though it was md January. We sunbathed, swam in the sea ate in gorgeous restaurants and hit the nightlife. I had an amazing time... I LOVE Miami! I've also had my birthday... yup i'm old.. 23! I've also had lots more drunken nights, eventful road trips and much more.

At work I’ve finally made it out of the chippy and I’m now a food runner. Basically I take food to tables in the restaurant….. it’s on a par with rocket science and brain surgery… very mentally taxing but I manage. It’s a tipped position so I’m earning a lot more money now but I’m saving it all like a lil ole scrooge! Only bad thing about it is my hands are AGONY!!! We use about 10 different plates and dishes and they are all HUGE and very HEAVY as it’s posh and Disney… and honestly my hands have never hurt so much in my life!!! But hey hum!

My room-mate - Gloria from Hong Kong left last week. Her year was up and she had to go home, I was so upset to see her go. We got on so well and I'll miss her so so much. I'm definately gonna try to get over to Hong Kong to see her at some point. So while I'm very sad that Gloria is gone, Gemma (my best friend here) moved in with me. She's from England too so there's not language barrier (well other than her midlands brawl hehe)!! So it's really cool, I love living with Gem!

Went on a road trip to St. Augustine at the end of January. St. Augustine is the oldest inhabited town in the USA and so as you can imagine it’s quite quaint and old fashioned and just kinda nice. It’s right on the coast and has lots of little boutiques and unusual shops and was very nice to browse around for the day (it’s only about an hour and a half away from Orlando). Had a massive ice-cream and got an Old Timey photo done which was really cool. However the highlight of the trip was Claire Cherry being pulled over by the Sheriff for running a red light!!! Highly amusing!!!

I’ve also been chilling out at some of the Disney Resorts on my days off… they have loads of luxury hotels and the pools and facilities are to die for so I’ve been taking advantage!!!

Last weekend I went to Myrtle Beach… yes… Myrtle Beach!!! Autumn needed to take some stuff up to the shop so I went with her. It’s an 8 hour drive from Orlando and we left here at 12 midnight and drove through the night arriving at the beach at 815am!!! Was actually a pretty good drive, we stayed awake pretty well for he first 4 hours but then I started to lag so we stopped and got coffee and these sour worm sweets… after that we were bouncing off the walls for the next 4 hours hehehe!!! Had a bit of a sleep then went for dinner at Tripps at Broadway… and my god I’ve really missed that place. Had a bit of a drive around, went down to the boulevard and went to the liquor store to get some well deserved alcohol for later that night. I called Maxx (my ex) just to kinda say hi and tell him I was back at the beach for a few days and we decided to meet up later to catch up.

Went to Broadway to the bars that night… they’ve added a whole other section on to Broadway now which is kinda weird but cool too. They now have a Margaritaville which is a Floridian thing so that was kinda weird. Admittedly the one in Orlando is much better but we had a few cocktails there to start the night off anyway. Then we went to Crocodile Rocks and then I met up with Maxx. We talked for ages and it was really nice catching up. Autumn and the girls went into Malibu but Maxx and I wanted to talk more so we decided to leave Broadway.

Maxx is managing a surf and skate shop in North Myrtle Beach so he drove me up to have a look round and gave me some free clothes… wooohooo… Billabong and Roxy too so I was chuffed!!! We chatted lots more and then we went to his Mom’s house… thought I’d better say hello while I was in town. So it was good to see her and she told me Maxx had really missed me and stuff. Anyways… Maxx and I were up chatting all night about everything you could possibly think of and well both of us still have feelings for each other and we’ve decided to give it another go. Some of you might think I’m crazy but everyone deserves a second chance and if I didn’t give it another go I’d have all the ‘what ifs’ so even though we’re 600 miles apart we’re back together. 600 miles might sound like a lot but in American terms it’s nothing and hopefully we’ll get to see each other every 2-3 weeks! So i'm really happy about that!!!

So it was only a quick update... but life here is pretty hectic as i've mentioned before... so i dont get much time to come online and do stuff like this.

Until next time...

New Year [Jan. 1st, 2005|12:52 pm]
First times first... Happy New Year!

Well. What can I say.... New Years Eve was fucking hellish!!! hehehe.... I was working, as was every Walt Disney World employee since New Years is our busiest day of the year. I was scheduled to work Beer Cart but at 11am our restaurant was so slammed I had to go help seat guests while beer cart was temporarily taken care of by a manager. Managed to get to beer cart about 3 hours later by which time that had gotten obscenely busy too and they had a 'relief' person in (they always have extra staff to be deployed wherever needed on New Years), who couldn't pour beer to save her life, and bless her, although she was trying she was slowing us down. Great. After a while i swapped tills with one of the girls and was a runner... changing kegs, getting stock etc, which is normally a 15/20 minute job. Last night it was on going, keg after keg after keg and they were only lasting the amount of time it took me to change one!!! I worked a 12 and a half hour shift but the trouble was i was humping kegs and heavy stock most of the time so was exhusted.

Obviously since I'm in Orlando 7pm was New Year for us UK folk. In the UK Pavilion everyone was out in the street (apart from us poor Chippie/Beer Cart peeps who had to stay and serve) for the count down and sang auld lang sine. Hugged and kissed lots of peeps and for me that was New Year. I managed to speak to Dad and Mum who was down the Tyning (my uncles pub) at around 11.20pm UK time and then I spoke to my sister at 12.30am UK time which was nice. I ALWAYS call them on New Years wherever I am.

I finally got off work at 10.20pm (US time) and i think i would have collapased if i'd stayed any longer. I was meant to finished at 6.30pm!!! So came home... at Casting they had free food and drinks which was nice. Finally got home at 11.05pm, quikly got changed and went to Rachel's for Pizza and a few drinks to see in the American New Year. Everyone else was still working so the two of us sat watching Times Square on TV and drinking muchos amaretto eating dominoes pizza! at 1pm both of us were falling asleep we were exhausted so I headed home. Left answerphone messages for my friends to come home to when they finally finish work, read a few chapters of my book and completely flaked out. Today didn't wake up until 12noon... i was nackered!!!! Gotta start getting ready to go back to work now... until 10pm tonight!!!

SO.... Happy New Year and I wish everyone the best of luck in 2005!!!

Christmas in Florida [Dec. 28th, 2004|02:11 pm]
Merry Christmas everyone!!! I know its a bit late but the thought's there! I haven't updated for weeks and weeks but my Parents have been over here visiting me for Christmas. They came on December 10th and left yesterday. Had an amazing few weeks with them and a lovely, but very unusal Christmas. It may be hard to believe but it was actually very cold here in Florida over christmas... I never thought it could happen but believe me it did!!!

Santa managed to find me even though i'm half way across the globe... brought me some lovely gifts too... he spoiled me in fact!!! I got:

A digital camera
2005 Diary
Dolphin Calendar
Pink Calendar (as in the singer... i *love* her)
La Senza Pajamas
Red and Orange Tarten pajamas (sound gross but VERY nice)
4 t-shirts (including a very nice Ralph Lauren Polo)
2 Jumpers
Hat, Gloves and Scarf set
Black evening dress
Black bra and thong
Big Eeyore teddy
Little Christmas Eeyore (from my roommate)
Clinique Simply perfume
Curve Perfume
Picture of me and Best friend here in Florida (Gemma, in a pink frame she made herself!!!)
Flake chocolate box
Milkybar Buttons
Cadbury's Selection Box (very good... can't get cadbury's in America)
Norweign chocolate (from my Norweign flatmate)
Norweign Recipie book (also from Norweign Room mate)
Bashful panties (from French flat mate)

I *think* thats everything but i bet i've missed something! So I've been a very lucky girl... I must have been good this year for santa to have brought me all that hehehe!!! The best thing about christmas was having Mum and Dad here, that' all I needed really! Most of my mates here had to spend christmas away from their families, I was so lucky to have mine here. I really missed my sister though.

On christmas day even though I had to work I managed to get off 4 hours early... yay... so spent almost all day with my family, and even though we were here in Florida we did the traditional Christmas thing... watch movies and eat too much chocolate all day. In the evening we went to The Yacht Club for our christmas dinner which was very very nice indeed. This year being away from home really made me think and... spending christmas with family is so important. I miss them now they're back home.

Hope everyone had a good one!

3 months... [Nov. 23rd, 2004|05:44 pm]
OH MY GOD I'VE BEEN HERE 3 MONTHS TODAY.... 3 WHOLE MONTHS... it's crazy time has gone by sooooooooooooooo quickly!!!

Anyways... so it's been like forever since i last posted.... well 3 weeks or sommat anyways! So what's been going on in those 3 weeks... lots!!! I've been upto all sorts... shopping, clubbing, Lasses going to parks, lots of working and also 5 uni classes! I had my Appetite for Service Class which i passed, today I had my Introduction to Wine class which i also passed but it was the most boring class ever (possibly except the Food and Beverage basics class) but my Bartending Basics classes compensated for any other bordam cuz they were so cool. It was a 3 week, 15 hour course so we had 3 5 hour classes over 3 weeks and the lecturer guy is the coolest in the world. Our last class was yesterday and we got to go to my favourtie night club and mix cocktails AND TASTE THEM ALL and then we went to a bar where they actually brew beer and do more tastings!!! Was the best class ever and now i'm a fully qualified Walt Disney World Bartender... yay!!! Now i just have to wait til i get trained at my location and actually get a spot in the bar!!!

Got some bad news when I was out last night. This Canadian guy Todd who i kinda had a thing with when i first got here has been terminated!!! I knew he had been suspended but now he's actually been terminated and has already left! I didn't get a chance to say bye or get his contact details or anything, they mde him leave within like 12 hours!!! The reason he was terminated... he got his wallet out on stage... not exactly the crime of the century, i can't believe it, he was a good guy!!!

Anyway... apparently it's been snowing back home which i'm really jealous of and it's making really miss the UK! Its still very warm here so the christmassy feeling is less intense. BUT starting next week Disney will be turning on their christmas lights every night and on Friday and Saturday I get to be in the show thingy in which they do it... how exciting!!! No really I'm very excited... is that sad?! hehe

I have the day off tomorrow and not quite sure what to do with it! I was gonna go shopping at Downtown Disney but as this week is Thanksgiving we don't get our big discount off of the merchandise so that idea is out of the window so maybe i'll go to the mall.. i dunno, maybe! Tonight just going to my mates house for takeout and a movie!

Remeber remember... [Nov. 5th, 2004|09:48 pm]
Remember remember the 5th of November!!! It's bonfire night... woohooo... BUT chelle no get to celebrate! Here in the US, obviously they don't celebrate bonfire night. I've never been outside of the UK for bonfire night before so i guess i've always taken it for granted, and to be honest i've never really though that much of it. Sure as a kid i used to get excited about seeing the fireworks etc but i've never really thought of it as anything that special but now i don't have it i really miss it and I feel very British today as a result. Was kinda nice explaining it to my Norwiegn roommate though, she loves talking to me about different cultures and stuff so she loved it when i explained all about Guy Faulks and the story behind the celebrations etc. God I miss the UK....

Infact over the past few days i've been quite fed up and wishing I were back home and it may sound silly but i've even been missing the fact it's all cold and rainy and wintery back in England!!! But today was my day off and I decided to go to the Magic Kingdom on a Christmas shopping trip. I actually had a really nice day even though i went alone and it was at around 6:30pm, it was already dark and getting kind of chilly out, I bought a pretzel and made my way to the park exit. I walked through Cinderella's Castle and down Main Street, all the lights were on, magical music playing and I realised how lucky I am to be here. I started to feel all warm and Christmassy... Magic Kingdom really is the most magical place on earth you know!!!! Got the Monorail back to Epcot and met some of the UK lads also on their way back home. Walking backstage through Epcot one of the little golf buggies went by us (managers and custodial use them to get around backstage) and stopped and gave us a lift to the bus stop... how cool is that! I was so excited I'd never been in one of those before heheh!

So yeh today's been a pretty good day. It's been a weird week in general though. Last Friday was a really tough day. One of my friends out here had some very bad news from home; his brother had been killed in a car crash. He was only 21, it’s devastating. We sorted out a flight home and managed to collect enough between us all to pay for it. I don’t want to say much more about it.

After work on Saturday my housemates and I went to Epcot and had dinner in Norway which was really nice. I love spending time with my housemates, we’re so lucky we all get on so well!

Sunday I came down with flu and felt terrible!!! I called in to work to tell them i was sick but they told me i had to go in because they were short staffed so i did but after 3 hours i almost passed out and they had to send me home!!! So spent the rest of Sunday, Monday and Tuesday wrapped up either in bed or on the sofa feeling sorry for myself!!! Tuesday night I managed to muster up the energy to go out for a few hours. James, Lee, Kat, Kenny, Stu, Gemma and I went to 'Arabian Nights' which is a dinner show on the 192 in Kissimee. It was a fantastic show! It's a horse show and they do all kinda of stunts and tricks and routines, I was well impressed! We also had dinner - salad to start, then steak then cake afterwards. Wine was also included. It normally costs $50 but as we're cast members we got it for $8... dinner, drinks and a fantastic show all for £5.. wow!!!

Worked Wednesday and was meant to be off Thursday but as I'd had 2 days off sick I asked to work so I had my first shift on Podium - seating restaurant guests. I was very nervous about this because I had to learn all the table numbers almost immediately but I think I did pretty well and actually quite enjoyed it! Thursday night we had a 'scuzz party' in aide of Crabhands' birthday. 'scuzz' is the word many of the UK castmemebers use to describe ignorant, rude British people who don't tip and are generally idiots. I don't like the word myself because i don't like to judge but i still made an effort for the party, not that much effort was required as all i had to do was raid my wardrobe and i had my costume... England top, painted England flag on face etc etc. Was actually a really cool party and everyone looked really funny. Kenny's costume was the best.... he had on tracksuit bottoms tucked into big addidas socks and pure white trainers. A celtic top and hair gelled into a fringe and two earings... he looked like a typical 'rude boy' - the type that hangs around in the town centre and drives a vauxhall nova hehehe! It was so funny!!!

Until next time… !

(no subject) [Oct. 26th, 2004|09:49 pm]
Well I’ve had a pretty good week even though most of it was spent working… I’ve done 7 days in a row (okay maybe it doesn’t sound *that* bad but… meh!) Sunday I did get to help out with this special event thing at The Swan hotel (a big posh hotel on Property) though. It was The International Cosmetic Chemists Convention (what a cool place to hold a convention) and as people from all over the world were attending they wanted Cast Members from all over the world to greet the guests. There were 22 of us all together, Germans, Mexicans, French, Norwegians, Chinese, Nepalese, South African, Canadian, and Italian, I was the only UK representative. Basically all we had to do was stand at the entrance and welcome people which was a lot of fun… I like randomly chatting to people… especially when I’m getting paid for it! Plus we got to see Mickey… that’s always a good thing hehehehehehehe!

Sunday night we went to The House of Blues for the free alcohol and lots of dancing and last night lasses had a ‘Porn Star’ theme… I went as a secretary!!! Next week we have an ‘Under the Sea’ theme and I’m currently trying to come up with something more interesting than a mermaid costume!

I’m off for two days now and have all sorts of exciting things planned like going to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, as well as going to ‘Mickey’s Not So Scary’ – Disney’s Halloween party where you get to go trick or treating in the Magic Kingdom! Wooo hoooo – I’m going as a black cat!

Oooo and while I remember… today at work I was backstage getting stock from the cooler and Eeyore, Tigger and Pooh were back there… Tigger wolf wistled at me… wooohooo! Hehehehe!!!
