Well, it's been quite awhile since I've written in this thing, but what can I say? I've been very busy lately, what with Christmas quickly coming upon us. I recently did a movie called Holiday Inn which turned out to be a big hit. Irving Berlin wrote the musical score, and wrote a song for every holiday, including, of course, Christmas, the song being titled "White Christmas."|
I didn't know how big of a hit this little tune would turn out to be, for not only Irving, but also for me. Irving had to actually talk me into singing it. Being a Catholic, I don't like the idea of cashing in on the Lord's birthday, but somehow Irving got me to sing "White Christmas," and I have to admit, it's a beautiful song. Everywhere I go I've been getting requests to sing it, not only at concerts, but also at parties and other intimate gatherings. Needless to say, my record and Irving's sheet music have been flying off the shelves, so I guess all in all this year has turned out to be another good one for me.
Well, I have to be going, I still haven't finished my Christmas shopping, there are still a few more things I need to get for Dixie Lee and the boys, and Hope is throwing a Christmas party tonight.
